Kendrick could hurt the Rams even when he was not in uniform.

Late-September. Game 3. Rams are 0-2 and at home against the 49ers. Rams rally from a ten-point fourth quarter deficit and take a 27-24 lead with :02 to play. Kind of a HUGE Game.

After the KO, the Niners have the ball on their thirty, with time for one play. If the Rams keep them out of the end-zone; and DON'T commit a penalty ... the Rams win. Kind of an IMPORTANT Play.

Anyone remember it?

Niners execute a short pass with multiple laterals advancing the ball into Rams' territory before the runner is pushed out-of-bounds (on the Rams side-line) at the 35-yard-line.

Aiyuk and Kinchens are pushing-and-shoving as the play ends.

A Rams' player ... Not in uniform ... comes-over and shoves Aiyuk in the face before being pulled-away.

One Guess on who that Undisciplined Player was. An Unsportsmanlike Penalty could have been called that would have put the ball at the twenty and extended the game one play for a short field goal to force OT.

I still have that game; and went-back to watch it to make sure I remembered correctly.

Also did a simple Google search ...
The NFL fined the Rams organization $100,000 for an incident after the final, wild, lateral-filled play last week in which an inactive player shoved 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk.

Derion Kendrick, who is on IR, was also fined.

Saving $3.4M in cap $$, but after being replaced on the top 51 by a min contract type guy, the savings will drop to about $2.6M. in cap dollars.

Not bad... maybe something else is coming in regards to another addition?

He was a 6th round pick. How could he possibly have had that cap hit?

.

sounds like a slip in ability after the injury may have pushed the needle to the red...

i'll eat crow with defending DK...

id do it again for a player i thought had shortcomings but was a physical footbal player...

he had to be doing something right to start that many games,,, his physical limitations along with bad moves at the wrong time didn't bench him, as much as some would have wished....

the rams made the right decision,,, im sure of that...

go rams

They adjust salary and numbers now if a later round player earns a starting role.
I don't know how that is defined but it has changed recently.
So, he is still on his rookie contract but making more than a normal 6th round pick because of his starts (32 games or something like that).

He was a 6th round pick that played his way into a part time starting role.
A very good pick value wise.
His mental slips/flags drove me and everyone else nuts I think, but, he will get a shot on another team.

The play and the game was over though. They wouldn't have done that.
You might be right. I thought a personal foul after the final play of the game can add an untimed down.

However, even if you are correct, Kendrick's action demonstrated that he was (and is) an undisciplined, unreliable, out-of-control knuckle-head (in my opinion). You don't win with those type of players unless ... Maybe ... they have elite talent ... which Kendrick absolutely does not have.

I'm so happy to hear this. Get the hell out of here Kendricks!

I never wanted a guy off the team more than Kendricks after this play back in 2022. Watch at the end of this short, as Kendrick makes no effort to tackle Kelce. Literally flops his little arms around Kelce and that's it. No effort at making a tackle. Sorry, but all I thought after this play was Kendricks is a fricking pussy. I have despised him every since. What a crap effort!
