I'm hoping the Rams are able to stand pat and pick up Newton. Then use a 3rd rd pick on a WR, while trading the other 3rd pick for a 4th and 5th rounder.
Gotta trade up for Newton. I say do it, he's gonna be a beast. Besides I bet he'll have a huge chip on his shoulder since he'll show he's the best DT drafted in our division, yes I'm talking to you bitch ass Seahawks. Our pass rush would be insane.

Maybe getting a legit EDGE is a sign of things to come and they will make our dreams come true by pairing Ernest with another stud ILB

Trade #52 and #83 to New England for #34 to grab Newton.

Or stand pat and see who falls to us.

WRs? Franklin? McConkey
OL? Powers-Johnson?
ILB? Cooper? Payton?
CB? Rakestraw? McKinstry? DeJean?
DT? Newton? Jenkins?

Down the road this could be referred to as "the fall into our lap draft".
Those are the 2 WR's I like along with Corley from Higbee's old stomping grounds WKU

I’d like the Rams to draft one of four LBs tomorrow. Edgerrin Cooper, Junior Colson, Payton Wilson, or Cedric Gray.
I wrote on another site love the idea of trading up slightly for Cooper maybe giving our #99 pick. A great sideline to sideline 3 Down ILB will do wonders covering short and intermediate over the middle stuff and help cover up outside runs with our OLBs.

Pretty sure guys like Newton, DeJean, McConkey, McKinstry will be gone by the time we pick. Not sure if they're willing to trade up. They'd have to give up one of their 3rd round picks. Probably number 83. Fiske might be available.

On the available players remaining ranking Sweat dropped all the down to #114. I remember quite a few mocks had him early to mid 2nd round. If he's there at 83 or 99 that would be tempting. He's probably more of a two down guy but could be that huge run stopper we've lacked for a long time.

Here's my board after the first round. Of my Top 70 players for the Rams, 26 were selected. Here's who is left (original rank in parenthesis):

All this talk about trading up for offense and they pick the best available edge rusher. I wonder if they really wanted to move up or if it was just a smokescreen? Question is, do they switch to offense today? Or continue improving the defense?

Ruke is absolutely also on my wish list but some here have told me he's a 3rd rounder. Think he goes today and would love him or Fiske at 5T
I want Verse's teammate at Florida State, Fiske. I have heard/read that he has a high motor and never quits. I don't know if there is a synergy between the two or whether that would translate to the NFL, if so. We need to be bold if there is a guy that can help this year and in the next several years.

Gotta trade up for Newton. I say do it, he's gonna be a beast. Besides I bet he'll have a huge chip on his shoulder since he'll show he's the best DT drafted in our division, yes I'm talking to you bitch ass Seahawks. Our pass rush would be insane.
I wouldn't hate it.
