Puka basically took over his role. I love Kupp and hate this but I think the Rams will aggressively pursue another wide receiver this year, someone with more speed to put on the other side of Puka.

I think Kupp still has football left but they just didn't think he was worth the price.

Doesn't matter who you are, when the Rams are done with you for any reason( contract, injury, performance)they move on.

It sucks but this is the business side.

Kupp was part of the heart and soul of this team. I wish him well.

Just PLEASE don't trade him for nothing only to have that team trade him to a team in the division.

His statement said he is feeling "as healthy as ever." Less than 2 weeks after the end of the season.

So the decline we saw was not due to injury, apparently.

Good luck Coop

Why do we decide to reduce his targets to almost zero for a month, then immediately after the playoffs try to trade him? Why are we always committed to tanking trade value with every single move we make? Not saying Kupp would fetch a fortune he's in decline now, but still a good player and my guess is a 6th or 7th rounder max.

Wow. Even though I started the “ is this Cooper Kipps last year?” Thread thinking he was more than likely gone it doesn’t make it any less painful to have to see him in another uniform.

Appreciate you Coop and look forward to you coming back to retire a Ram.

Ps. Think he is going to be a Pat or a Raider tbh.

I’m thinking bringing him to the Snow Miser’s team now that they have Kelly for OC would be great for him.

So long as they don't get sentimental and get worse for him. Get the absolute best deal you can get. It's the one thing I have against this group of decision-makers - Snead and McVay included - when it comes to trading: whomever is in charge simply isn't ruthless enough. This is a business, first and foremost, and Coop would be the first to understand that.

This is a monumental mistake. Maybe one of the dumbest moves since McVay was hired.
Not even close.
#1: Rams have made REALLY dumb moves.
#2: The announcement was bad, but Kupp did that himself.
#3: The need to trade him is smart given those $$$ numbers, his WR numbers and his injury history.

Would have been thrilled to see him accept a reasonable restructure offer. Love the dude.

Well in the tweet he said we are going to work with him on where he wants to go, AND he has very little trade value to begin with.

I imagine it's better for him if we trade him because he gets paid the same as if we kept him, whereas on the FA market, he's likely a one year $10 million type at best.

So I am expecting a future 6th rounder at best here. A 5th to bridge the gap between our 4th and 6th rounders would be cool - but I am thinking it will be next to nothing.

seek a trade?

Don't see how anyone going to pay that contract.
Why do the Rams always give out the contracts that look bad on the back end? Kupp is 31 years old. No way should he have 30 million dollars of salary in the first place.
