We know Puka has had knee issues so who steps up for him if needed. Atwell? this is a huge risk.
I just hope they know what they are doing because they have made big steps in building an LA fan base. If they blow this it will mean two steps backwards.

I have posted this several times in the last couple years when reading so many posts about wanting to see more 12 personnel.
Having receivers who can block like a TE is better than 12 personnel because you have more options in the passing game—the receivers are faster. Personnel changes can tip off a defense too.
Woods/Kupp
Nacua/Kupp

How would 12 personnel have made the Rams offense better? It wouldn’t have.
After seeing what the Rams TE room showed this last season, Whittington out blocked them half the time.

Now, if Kupp leaves, that changes things. Just look at the few successful screens the Rams ran. Who was the key blocker?
#10.
Or having a guy like Brock Bowers playing TE with Higbee would be like a younger healthier Kupp at TE.

We can see what McVay was leaning towards. Technically he tried to acquire that player the last two years with Bowers and Kincaid. Maybe he felt like Kupp didn’t have it back then.

He didn’t get either or maybe Kupp would already have been traded.

We may also have clues about what McVay wanted from last years free agency. His first move was for Mike Evans. He gets turned down and I think the 6’-7” Parkinson was his fallback to Evans, as insurance. I think he still wants more size on the team along with speed.

That is my biggest concern about this move. Puka is great but has gotten injured and his biggest knock coming out of college was he was always getting injured. He plays physical as hell too so that doesn't help. We will no longer have that safety net of Kupp to get us along if Puka goes down. The Rams are definitely gonna have to reload that receiving room big time.

The Rams will have to beef up the WR room but it won't matter if they can't field a jelled healthy strong O-Line. Cooper was the best at getting that quick check down pass to save Stafford from getting pummeled.

Reactions: LARAMSinFeb.
By pushing more dead cap dollars down the road just to remain relevant, EVERY players past production in this league is eventually replaced and exceeded.
You mean if the Rams would have added years to his contract in order to spread guaranteed $$ down the road. Neither Kupp nor the Rams can reduce guaranteed $$.

We've seen "insiders info" and the typical drama lama lama lama.

In the end where does he end up, what's our compensation and what in the initial and end does Kupp perform for his new team? That last part made me vomit.

One, two, three. Go
Just realized Nine and Dime is gone too.

I'll throw a few out there; Texans, Bengals, and Ravens. Why? He fits an immense need, it's up to said QB to hit him in that target zone. Dude still has many years of good football ahead of him. It happened to Bobby Trees too but I'd say Rams Org made the right move with him overall. (Imagine the NFL without injuries. Blue font, i.e. Odell Beckham Jr in the SB)

FWIW, Demoff isn't closing the door here. So there's a chance! (maybe)

There's this and more
"Nothing says that his time with the Rams is now over"
"you never know how things end"
"what is said now doesn't always mean what comes to life" [at the start of the league year]
"I think the story is still to be written with Cooper"

KC or the Chargers.
The Rams likely won't trade him in the NFC.
He wants to play for a contender. Working with Reid.....well, he could do well there I think.
The Chargers because he can stay in LA for his family, join a playoff team and he certainly possesses the team first, great blocking WR that Harbaugh would value.

KC is in bad cap shape so I dont see that as a possibility unless he agrees to a new contract and a big paycut....which he could have done here.
