Just think how much higher his numbers would be if he didn't have Torry Holt catching 100 balls a year. Or Marshall Faulk. Those guys may have taken away some double teams from Ike, but they certainly got a lot of balls thrown their way. This is why Holt should be there too. He was arguably the best receiver in the NFL for 10 years, and his stats support that!

Man this finalists class is stacked? How many do they pick? 5 right? I see Moss, Lewis, Lynch, Urlacher, Mawae seem like locks to me. TO doesn’t get in. They are dogging him on purpose. Maybe next year for Bruce?

I agree 10000%!! And I don't care If T.O. ever gets in or Randy Moss! I Hope Bruce and Holt Beat them Both into the H of F!!

Agree with you on Moss.

Owens numbers look good mainly because of how long he played. I see it like this would you rather have Eli Manning or Kurt Warner? Kurt was the better QB, Manning has more yards and TDs. Barry Sanders or Frank Gore? Sanders was better, Gore better career numbers.

Owens career high recieving yards 1451
Holts career high recieving yards 1696

Holt had 6 years of 1300 plus yards.
Owens had 4 years above 1300.

When they played Holt was the more dominant WR. Plus he has the ring and was a good teammate. Dude just had a short career.

I will give Owens this, he was a redzone beast. He put up big TD numbers. Both deserving of the HOF for sure. I just think Owens has been a media darling thus he gets more credit then he deserves as in Holt's its just the opposite.

Everyone has different takes on whats deserving. Me personally it's more then just about the numbers.

IMO if they don't let Owens in they need to get rid of hof 2nd to Rice
 
Let's face it... All of those receivers should be in. But Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce are classy guys, that the Rams AND the NFL were proud of, while Owens and Moss were dicks. Don't know why they don't take that into consideration.
