Obviously, we're all pleasantly surprised by the offense and it's productivity.

But questions remain about the defense. Switching from a 4-3 to a 3-4 can be difficult - especially if your personnel was selected for a 4-3. Phillips has a track record of turning things around... but can it be done as quickly as first year? Was that second half in DAL the start of a trend... or an aberration?

Will the opposing defensive coordinators figure out a way to slow down the offense?

How do you feel about depth (should the injury bug hit the Rams)?

So, let's roll all that together and take a poll...

How confident are you that the Rams can sustain this early success? Extrapolated out, the current success rate works out to 12-4. Maybe a tall order... but 10-6? That should get them into the playoffs.

I'll be the pessimistic one here and give it a 50-50 chance at this point.
  • they were 3-1 last year, and finished 4-12
  • young QBs tend to fall back down to earth after a few games, once opponents have film on them
  • leaky run defense
  • they have been fortunate with injuries so far - the only major one has been Easley
  • the Cardinals and Seahawks are both 2-2. The Seahawks always start slow, and the Cardinals are eeking out wins with David Johnson out.
  • there are a lot of good teams in the NFC - 5 teams are 3-1 right now, and the Bucs are 2-1. Getting a wildcard spot will probably be tough this year. After 4 games, the only teams I'd count out are the Giants, Bears and 49ers.
I really really hope the playoff drought ends this year, but it's still really really early IMO.

Considering the fact, I picked them to go 13-3 in the pre-season, and they're almost on track for that. I would say they will easily make the Playoff's! And as NFC West Champs!! ... Vote = 100%!!

I agree with this. Some good NFC teams out there. Divisional games are going to be big. Home game against the hawks would be a big one to have under our belt.

I also agree with you about our defense. I have concerns there.

Im at 50/50. Although they have been amazing, i need to see the success sustained till at least the end of the 3 quarter point before going in balls deep. Over a decade of futility has left me much of a skeptic. I want to be all in, but have to hold myself back till later in the season. All signs pointing up though. love what this team has become, Love McBae!!!

I actually scored top 3% in the nation on my SATs. It's me vocabulary that weren't all the goodest. And that is 120% accurate.
Has anyone ever told you you look like Jeff Fisher in your profile pic? Put some shades on you and have you search all over for a challenge flag and you're a dead set ringer lol

I said 60-70.

If we come out and execute well this week. Take the win at home. I'll be 90

I went 70 - 80%; we haven't peaked or mastered the full scheme either offensively or defensively yet------it's only been 4 games. I expect sometime within the next 4 to 6 games we'll really begin to hit our stride; we'll have at least one game when the offense and defense plays their best game of the season on the same day. Defensively we have enough talent-----we're still adjusting to the scheme, we'll get it together. At this point I really did not expect the offense to be this far along-----142 pts after 4 games----we scored 224 for the season last year. Mcvay calls an excellent game, he sets up things, on the TD pass to Gurley, Mcvay expected the Cowboys to be in that defense they were in. Last year Boras just called plays, no rhythm, rhyme or reason, just called a play. Finally, Mcvay wants to win now, rebuilding on-the-fly; this team is always well-prepared (especially offensively) and a playoff berth is a realistic goal.
