Come for Avila, stay for the entire offensive line

I think the power scheme of Kyle’s is easier to plug guys in to.

McVay’s offense requires more mobility and more above the neck as it’s more complicated which makes me love the influence of Mike LeFleur that much more

My god, the whole thing is a beauty but the part at timestamp 0:25....

Estaban (spell it right, if you're going to critique me, Loyal; I thought you knew that as a writer) Avila then. But Chatarius Atwell has a nickname that I just don't like. "Steve" is at least a first name that can be derived from "Estaban". And honestly? Chatarius isn't a hard name to say. I don't know why folks call him by a nickname.
One reason might be that when Mr. Atwell was interviewed he said that Tutu is the name he goes by, and that only his mother calls him Chatarius.

I was more impressed with Avila THIS week than last. Being well prepped for opening day is one thing, but coming back and handling the 9ers defense like he did…
Wasn’t that the 9ers premier FA signee getting stonewalled by Avila—all day?
This guy just “gets it”.

The run blocking needs to come around.. but pass blocking has been exceptional, imo.
Detroit is supposed to have a dominant line and gave up two sacks to Seattle.. at home. Rams gave up none.. on the road.

yeah but goff is always good for a couple of sacks per game. he can't make stuff happen when the play breaks down.

stafford is much more craftier when the play goes south.

Goff was sacked 23 times last season.

I get your point… but I think the comp bodes very well for the Rams.

On the play he took a helmet to the forearm making backside block while pulling. Was the bruise that bad to sprint and not return to the game? I hope he's not soft and sits whenever he gets dinged.
Most likely, the symptoms and pain he was displaying led them to want to do further tests before putting him out there in case it was a tear or something that could have been made worse by playing.

Pwaaaaa!

Despite the Rams other needs (Edge rusher, Deep threat that can catch, Stud DT, etc…). I’d have no problem with them taking another Steve Avila level Olinemen in rounds 1 or 2 next spring. I love a dominant Oline.

I've currently got C/RG Bryce Foster out of Texas A&M coming to us in the 4'th round, although as a 3'rd it might be more realistic.
