Rams rolled the dice with Alaric at LT. Just like they did with Boom prior. And this one looks like it may go about as well. Feels like the Rams are going to get burned.

Colin is correctly picking up the scent on this trail.

I’m not often correct on personnel but not relying on AJax and Reeder this season were at the top of my list. I just didn’t see relying on either as a smart move for a contending NFL team. I hope I am wrong regarding AJax but it feels like a BIG WHIFF by the Rams.

Can you find a journeyman on the trade market? Not a stud but somebody that is workable?

Leave it to you Bro leave it to you!

I don’t know how it’s going to workout, but there were concerns & issues throughout his career.IMO Alaric has worked his butt off & I think he’ll be back ?

OL has always been the determining factor for the ceiling of this team. If AJax is out for an extended period of time, this will be a battle to stay competitive.

There are not 32 competent LTs in the league. The only thing options you will find in June are liabilities. Lets hope AJax is ready for the season.

Something to take into consideration which I haven’t seen anybody mention is I think our UDFA Trey Wedig with a bit tutelage from NFL coaching to further his technique and position awareness has a pretty good chance of being something for us.

Was high on him in the draft process. With reps against our OLB’s it could clear up his narrow base and hand placement intermittent issues. Against Michigans D-Line he held up real well except when he starts turning and moving, but that’s only at times where he can be redirected.

I love these arm chair head coaches. In hindsight anything can be critiqued, and unfortunately the media loves to play that card. AJ and the rams had/have no way of knowing when a blood clot issue is going to come up. Furthermore they have no idea what causes the blood clots. It's unfortunate but it is what it is. Hopefully they'll get cleared up and he'll play the season like nothing happened. If he doesn't I'm sure they'll have a plan b.

FWIW Wedig has never every played LT. He played RG/RT at Wisconsin and then RT at Indiana. IMO, he is an option at RT not LT. Right now Humphries will start, however, if the Rams feel that this might sideline Jackson for the season, I am sure they will pivot and acquire someone.

I have some hope for Humphries, however, he was exceedingly bad at pass blocking last year, albeit in a small sample size (92 snaps). He graded out to a 30.5 in pass blocking on PFF and an average 66.1 in run blocking. Scares me a bit.

Love Ferguson for us, but damn, shouldn't we of grabbed a OT of the future? Hindsight I know.

Oh come on. It's not like AJ has any say on getting blood clots or not. It's not like extra effort and energy would change a medical condition.

There's no connection here.
If he got hit by a bus folks would be saying the Rams didnt do due diligence in seeing if he historically looked both ways before entering a crosswalk
Hindsight is undefeated in these parts

I'm saying it is a funny coincidence. And by extension a very bad sign to see this happen right out the gate after he got paid. So as much as Cowherd bugs the fuck out of me he is right to be on this trail.

You are saying you know that there is no connection.

Between the two of us you are the one making assumptions. I am saying the outlook is fucking grim. We'll see how it turns out, however if we were to subscribe to your opinion we'd be clapping along singing fucking kumbaya and pretending this might not be an issue. Which I think is very stupid.

So let's disagree.

Depends ? How many times did he roll up his sleeve ?
