Harbaugh would be a good fit for Russel Wilson since Denver is stuck with him for at least a couple more years for better or worse. Harbaugh will play to Wilson's scrambling, playground football strengths and quit trying to fit a square peg into a round hole like Hackett did this year. I still think Wilson is done and they'll have to dump him as soon as they can but Harbaugh will get the most out of the situation at least.
Harbaugh also goes way back with Condoleeza Rice. I think him and Denver has some fire behind that smoke for sure.

That said if Kroenke were to want him I think he'd be in play. Because Stan is that level of owner.

He's just waiting for McVay to step aside.
TBH none of the openings to me seem to be great opportunities. Denver seems locked on Harbaugh and they have issues as it is. The rest of the openings have no QB. He may be waiting on Dallas to fire McCarthy when they get bombed this weekend.

Actually I'm predicting a blowout the other way. But if Dallas does lose, McCarthy will be fired and Payton will be hired in Dallas IMHO.

Of the current openings, I agree. You go to Denver and you're absolutely handcuffed by an awful Wilson contract and player. Although the rest of the team is solid.

Arizona is a total disaster and once again, tied to a terrible Murray contract.

Houston is Houston, coaches go there to die.

Carolina isn't bad they have an owner with deep pockets willing to spend it on the team and facilities. They have some talent and the 9th pick with the thought they could trade up with the Bears who seem to be shopping the #1 pick.

Completely forgot about them. They would be decent. And he'd have his options to get a QB he wants a

Carolina doesn’t strike me as flashy enough for Asshole Face.

He wants LA or Dallas.

He does, I will be rooting for Dallas simply because I want them to keep Mike McCarthy. It reminds back in 1999 when I was rooting so hard for the Knicks in the playoffs and my wife could not understand why. I told her I want the Knicks to make to the finals so they don't fire Jeff Van Gundy because that is the only other place Phil Jackson will go to besides the Lakers.

Knicks win a lucky first round against the Heat and then get to the finals in lose in five games. Van Gundy stays and Phil Jackson is hired as Head Coach of the Los Angeles Lakers...Mission Accomplished. My hope is for Sean Patrick Payton to take over for McVay and Vic Fangio as DC, i do not want Raheem Morris whatsoever.

I gave you a thread winner even though I will still want to punch Asshole Face in the face every time I see him on TV

Prob is New Orleans would play hardball in their compensation requirement if it's a division rival. Outside of that, yeah, Carolina makes a ton of sense for him.

He is an interesting candidate. I wouldn't hire the guy but I love his career path. Starting under Jerry Gray in Tennessee and defense showed good improvement year one to two. Then schooled under Zimmer who is an ass but a fine defensive mind, and all three years were very good defenses. His Colts years under Eberflus were also successful, that secondary was very well coached. Then the performance in Philly where he improved them greatly year one to two.

Also and btw the Eberflus association has a lot of Dungy connections to include things we are familiar with like loaf charts that Lovie used during the GSoT years. So he's a guy with history of being on top defenses at every stop which is kind of hard to pull off. Born under a star though maybe.
