This is amazing and very rare as they always tell you to strike when the iron is hot. I'm going to assume that no job really appeals to Johnson or he feels he's not the #1 choice with the opportunities. He also could feel he needs another year, but if Detroit struggles next year, there will be other Johnsons.
Yeah it sounds like he didn't think any of the options this year were worth it or with stable franchises.

I think it was somebody linking that Blaine fan guy that moderates Turfshowtimes or something. There was a reply that name could only be him and you see his tweets and yeah it was him.

The production is great… and he makes throws only Mahomes and Allen can make.

Burrows doesn’t have their arm talent… but is a complete badass.

Which is why I would take burrows over all but mahomes…right now.

And how does that play into the saints retaining his rights? Is it indefinite because he retired under contract, or is there a statute of limitations?
Payton signed a five-year contract extension in September 2019, so the Saints hold the rights to Payton through the end of the 2024 season.

Lasts as long as his contract would have which I'm not sure on the length can probably find it somewhere though.
