Carolina just cut loose their interim HC and special teams coach Chris Tabor. Various ranking sites put him as high as #2 special teams coordinator. Does McVay check this out or does he stay loyal? I sure wouldn't mind seeing Tabor come aboard after last year's special teams fiasco,

HELL YES please!

I'm not very critical of McVay but he does need to get the ST's under control! Since Fossil left the STC's have been absolutely shit.

I could see a scenario where Blackburn is allocated to another area, and kept on as a coach and Tabor comes in.
Not sure it's that easy to do considering that no matter how fancy the title, going from coordinator to a position coach is a demotion
I'd be all for it though

Yes please. We had one of the worst ST's in the NFL last year, if not the worst. If that isn't a reason to upgrade, what is?

Would be a nice get.
It too bad because Tabor is one of the elite Special Team Coaches in the NFL, but McVay committed to Blackburn and I expect Tabor to be hired by the Giants or possibly one of the other teams looking to fill their staff and they will be lucky. I would jump on him if I was Brian Callahan in Tennessee.

I believe the Giants hired a Special Teams Coordinator this past week. A guy from the Jets' staff.

He committed to potentially the worst ST coach in the league? Time to un-commit.

If I was in McVay's shoes I would have told Chase we're going a different direction. But by now there would have been rumors out if that were the case, so it seems like he's good with him sticking around. Tabor would be a nice addition, probably doesn't happen though.

This guy sounds good to me, I hope the Rams show some interest.

Sure but doubt McVay fires or relieves Blackburn of his position.
