Not sure how many have seen but Simms has been going through his QB rankings heading into 2022. Here is where we're at so far, and looks like today he just put Brady at #8.

So Stafford will be in his top 7 along with: Mahomes, Rodgers, Allen, Wilson, Herbert, and Burrow. Interested to see how his final rankings shake out.

Goff at 30. Sorry I shouldn’t care but I don’t agree.

I heavily disagree with Lawrence and Wilson being ranked below Wentz, Jones, and Garoppolo. Fields, I could see being ranked above Jones, who has proven without a shadow of a doubt to be a bust.

I have to think Drew Lock is a little better than Goff other than that seems OK.:hiding:

And Stafford, right this moment, is a top 3 quarterback in the league MINIMUM.

He's the Super Bowl winning quarterback, so until he gets knocked out of number one, he's number one.

You have to beat the Champ to be the Champ.

So pretty much the QB's who have won a Super Bowl, or are expected to win one are left.

Goff belongs around the 15-20 range.
Most saying he's not in that tier aren't looking at it objectively, imo.

Not saying any of you are wrong and I'm right, just think he's a little better than most give credit for.

Availability is damn near everything.
It raises him over several other more naturally gifted QBs. He's a good QB with the right pieces around him.

Stafford however is #1 (imo) or #3 at the lowest because of Brady and Rodgers and their dumb shit.

Stafford > Mahomes and everyone else right now.

I think next year will be Goff's real test. He's had a year in the Detroit system now and has gotten help around him. It's put up or shut up for Jared Goff this year, and we will finally find out exactly what kind of quarterback the Rams gave up.

As soon as I saw where he ranked, I think we all knew......without a doubt..... That this would morph into a Goff thread.

Sell. But fwiw, I would have him around 20. He's a damn fine QB in the right situations. It's the other situations that ruin him.... Like most QB's

I'd have Goff in the lower 20s (20-25). He's a bottom third dude, excellent talent but requires perfect pockets to sustain. 30 is a bit low, though, when you have dipshits like Mariota ahead of him.

Wentz is way too high. Mayfield is too high.

There's definitely a dropoff after about 15. Quality dips quickly thereafter.

There's some insane talent at the top of this league. Given Stafford's performance in the playoffs last year and Rodger's performance in the playoffs over the last decade, I'm inclined to put him ahead of Rodgers. However Rodgers has won MVP of the league three times and both have one SB win, so I doubt most would put Stafford ahead of Rodgers even though I do. But I personally think Mahomes and Allen are more talented and I'd rank them ahead.

My personal 1-7 rankings would be:

1) Mahomes
2) Allen
3) Stafford
4) Rodgers
5) Wilson
6) Burrow
7) Herbert

Simms doesn't like Goff we all know that. This isn't meant to be a Goff thread but rather Stafford in the top 7 thread.

I'm curious how you people would rank the 7 QBs left?
