Discusses Fisher and Snead at: 36:38
Starts discussion of entire informal survey of NFL Coaches/Execs at: 34:05
Starts discussion of two QBs at: 14:30
States that NFL people think right now that Mariota is likely to go #1 at: 31:40

Landry is a former scout and works as a consultant for teams now. He worked for the Titans organization when Fisher was there.

I'd give the entire thing a listen if you have time. Very interesting. He sat in on multiple combine interviews with Winston and Mariota.

I don't know much about this guy, can't tell if he's just throwing around names or if all those coaches actually gave this guy some pretty important inside info.

Did not listen yet but I figured that with Jameis INTs and similar build to Vince Young, plus maturity issues, that Fisher would not want Winston. He went down that road before. He wants Mariota because he is very smart and takes care of he ball and figures even a spread QB can be a game manager....plus many people think Mariotas closest comp is Sam Bradford. And Fisher loves a healthy Sam.

Here's what I think...Tell everyone in your circle that the girl B is much pretty and would be better to date so maybe just maybe that leaves the girl A for you. Rams want Winston to fall so tell everyone else Mariota is better???? Just a thought.

" 'Tis the Season!!"(y);)

Does it even matter what they think about those two? Neither will be available for them.

IF they like Mariota and IF he gets past Tennessee, look for a trade with Washington at #5. A much cheaper reverse of the RGIII deal.

And running his life. :ROFLMAO:

Maybe Snisher views Mariota as a mobile Bradford.

Not that either QBs, or hell, any QB in this draft for that matter, has the arm talent of Sam.

Winston does.

Winston does.

I know you love Winston, but I must disagree. Bradford has the arm talent to make throws, and complete them, that maybe 2 or 3 other guys in the NFL can make. And like another member said, only Rodgers is the one who probably attempts it. Bradford just made throwing the ball look easy. His arm strength was world class.

I don't think Winston has it. That isn't a slight, just a fact imo.

No, it's not a fact. Bradford isn't in the top 2 or 3 in the NFL in terms of arm strength. Winston has a stronger arm than Bradford. The guy throws in the mid 90s in baseball. He's got a cannon.

Bradford's arm strength is firmly in the very good territory. Winston's is in the great territory. And Winston is very accurate with his placement. As accurate as Sam coming out. Same is more accurate now but that's because he's been in the league for years. Winston will likely get there.

Where Sam had/has the huge upper hand is/was decision making.

Regardless, I have Sam as the top QB I've ever evaluated and Winston is very close in terms of on the field play(as was Luck).

Sam will even have a better arm this year. Arm isn't the issue for either one of them, they both have outstanding arm talent. I, too had Sam rated very high, and even higher than Luck coming out.

He was the obvious choice for me then, because he was clearly the best, over quite a few years of drafts. He's Brian Drew, last year. Snead is phrasing it the best...we need an insurance plan, for Sam, for the team, and yeah, for us, the best damn football fans in the world.

Baseball and football are not in correlation because the throwing motions are entirely different. I've seen Winston pass. And I've seen the kind of passes Sam has thrown, on the run, across his body, back to the middle of the field, with accuracy. Until I see Winston do that, I disagree.

Really? We talking the same college players? Sam played in a far superior football division than the putrid ACC and had a 68% completion rate. As a Mizzou fan, I saw Bradford make Mizzou and just about every other Big 12 school his bitch just about every time he played. Bradford dominated the competition routinely. And was picked only 16 total times. Just insane for how often he passed the ball.

I'll give you mobility and pro-style experience, but Sam, imo, was a superior college football player and does possesses a top 5 arm. Especially after that offseason plan he had put in this past year where he was ripped and flicking the ball around with ease.

I wish I could find that particular TD to Gibson again.

They don't have to correlate. If you can throw 95 on a baseball mound, you have one hell of an arm.

Sam doesn't have Winston's arm. Winston has that same sort of arm that guys like Cutler, Flacco, Kaepernick, Stafford, Rodgers, etc. have. Bradford is a tier below that.

Completion percentage doesn't mean much to me. It's very system dependent.

This TD to Gibson...?

This TD to Gibson...?

Yep. I know few QBs who can complete that pass in the NFL. I think Bradford has about as good an arm as Flacco. Not the deep ball touch, but the strength.

Though, a bit hard to say. Sam hasn't really had too many chances or the WR, to hit guys deep like Flacco.

I agree I like Mariotta over Winston to... at the very least from on the field options you don't have to worry about a rape or theft charges from Marriota! :0 lol
