I mean Morris' defense "blew" a huge lead because of insanely bad turnovers and even the Evans TD they scored was man on man with a great throw and Evans just beat Ramsey.

I'll take Staley back in a second if Morris leaves but I think our defense under Rah has been fine. We're a hell of a lot better in the red zone than what the Renters looked like tonight.

Just as long as Staley learns his lesson to not go soft when he shouldn't. I'd kind of prefer Fangio.

I'm fairness to Morris and I have been on both sides with him but you have to call a spade a spade he did a great job last yr yes I know Von etc but still he deployed everything perfectly.

That said I actually believe this year's job defensively was more impressive. He kept us on most games with a bunch of spare parts at different times and even showed that he could hold the fort with no AD but absolutely no pass rush and the defense was ranked where? For a 5-12 team?

I to think/thought it was frustrating but any kind of offense and that record probably flipped to 12-5 obviously injuries happen but with those injuries we were still in games.

Wasn't talking about the TB playoff game last year, and I don't put the evaporation of that lead on Morris, never did.

But losses to the Bucs this year and the first loss to the Seahawks are squarely on his shoulders as far as I'm concerned.

Staley's playoff performances concern me. But I agree it would be great to have him back and good coordinators returning from failed head coach stints seem to do very well.

We just need Spanos to axe him for something new and shiny.

It's funny because Morris played soft coverage with less pass rush than the Chargers and aside from Ramsey less in the secondary. If you compare the players each had it's pathetic for Staley to have coached the way he did and lost that. I give Morris a semi pass because he didn't have Bosa and Mack and the CB's and Derwin James. You got 5 turnovers in a playoff game and with an all star studded defense couldn't win with a 27 point lead. That was one of the worst coaching jobs I've ever seen.
 
What a game enjoyed the hell out of that for a few reasons.

1. I don't like the team who camps out outside our stadium and claims squatter rights. (Get a job Spanos)
2. Brandon" No ring' Staley
3. Good to see that second year QB show 0 quit and just keep plugging his
way to victory.

Bonus reason . Bosa is a baby.

I'd be happy for Morris to get a head coaching gig and yes 3rd rounder but I'm cool if he stays having said that mcvay should put full court press on Fangio and they can bring Staley in at a lesser roll to help Fangio and you are stealing him from Grinch face.
My wish:
-Fangio with Staley at lesser position reunited
Reich with (fine I can't spell it anyway) laflower or wteva his name is lol at some lesser position.

Then mcvay can have a life and hit that lab hard and wt did he say again???? Bust through adversity!!!!

So the only time the Chargers score is when they had scoring drives under 20 yards. Not only should Staley be fired but their OC should be out of the NFL for all time that's pathetic.

Yea I'm trying to just stick DC to DC but I agree and that was exactly my point with Morris. I believe in such a horrible season he did a better job with so much less. To me when there's no pass rush it's simple NFL or backyard football you almost forced to play off more than you'd like the rams rush was horrendous.

How easy would it have been for him to be hesitant, take sacks or be erratic? 4 picks in the first half and 4 TDs in the second half. That was incredible. Kid deserves huge kudos for his huge cahonies!!!

Yes, Bosa is a bitch and Staley will be lucky if he's not fired.
I feel bad for SJD and Everett
 
I really wanted Samuel for the Rams too at that draft. I think that's the one I mocked him in the 2nd and gave Rochell as an alternate later in the draft. Samuel would be so amazing opposite Ramsey
