Mahomes and the Chiefs went back to back, I could easily argue that Mahomes and the Chiefs have a better roster and better depth.

Or are you saying Shanny is a choker of a coach who can't win the title with the best and deepest roster? I agree with that.

I'll add that the "best" roster and possibly #1 defense gave up nearly 30 points per game in the playoffs and the super bowl.

Niners IOL is patchwork and Trent Williams is looking ancient. They have a bunch of JAG ‘s in the secondary and spend a fortune for a front four who can’t get home. Niners had to bring the house to get close to Mahomes and he simply dumped it of to his hot receiver or just evaded the rush and scrambled for extra yards. Niners starting to come back to the field because they had a terrible draft. Taking a kicker in the third round when you have glaring needs in the secondary and offensive line was pure Trey Lance type of malpractice by John Lynch. He did not have the personnel to win in 2023/24 to win because he completely botched the draft.

So what. There is a difference between "complimentary" and simple facts.
If you put the roster of the Rams and Niners together and let Bill B coach the team, defense, ALL of their DBs would start, ALL of their LBs would start and most of the D line. We might get AD.
They have 1st round pick freaks of nature coming off the bench.
I do not have to like it. But I have eyes to see.
The Rams might be set up better for the future, looks bright.
But that is one of the best rosters I have ever seen.
Certainly in the modern free agent era.
Now, my Ram fandom.
I came off the couch screaming with delight when L. Marshal, J Burt and A Williams did what they did.
Montana and Young go limp......silence. When they move, I know they are not dead and scream like a giddy schoolgirl. They might be maimed, vegetables but they were still breathing so I can laugh all I want.
I despise the Niners.

I still hate Ken Norton Jr. for punching a goal post thirty years ago.
Thought Dan Quinn threw-him-a-bone yesterday, naming him LB-coach in Washington. Norton was a failed Defensive Coordinator shoved-out of the NFL a few years ago; and thrown another bone by his alma mater UCLA. Fuck Ken Norton Jr.

It's Tuesday morning. The sunrise was beautiful, birds are chirping, the air is sweet and clear. I haven't a care in the world. This optimistic and exuberant outlook on life is all because of the 49's losing the Superbowl.

It is 35 in Upstate, NY, but no snow, so in February, it is a plus. The day is brimming with optimism as the days are getting longer in combination of another year without a Super Bowl for that team up North of Los Angeles.

FWIW, they seemed more interested in containing the edges and keeping Mahomes from getting outside the pocket and able to move North-South. Romo pointed that out multiple times.

They didn't appear, often at least, interested in a huge rush.
 
As great as the shitters defense is during the regular season they sure do seem to wilt in the playoffs. When it matters most.
