This is a salary dump. They can't play him because he gets bonus money for every game played. That's one of the reasons why he sat the last 3 games.

I mean he sat the last 3 games cause he was playing like straight ass.
 
Rams also give up a 2027 7th, they receive a 2026 7th per Schefter
 
Why? Their 2026 pick may be worse than our 2027 pick. Just take him for free - like a couch you put on the sidewalk

Well, they got what they could for him. Apparently, White's value has severely diminished by NFL standards.

It's a salary dump. He had incentives in his contract that really bumped up his cap hit based on playing time.

So it wouldn't be fair to him to bench him because they didn't want his 5M deal bump up to 8M.

So it was a fair move. It opens up cap room...they were down to only 2M or so. Now this cap room can be carried over to next year or will be used to pay out incentives this year.

I thought Tre wasn't as bad as some on here thought. He was staying pretty close to the opposition's #1 receiver, had a couple of close unlucky breaks. Wouldn't bet surprised if he becomes a regular player for the Ravens.

Regardless, I hope the salary dump means the Rams can pick up a solid player before the deadline... how about an ILB?

They may need to save some room just in case. (not gonna say it.... no jinxing!!!)
I would be surprised if they grabbed anyone. Roseboom the tackling machine will have to lead us to the playoffs.
