How about our shiny new toy QB just duplicates our former QB (not named Wolford statistically saying, tho we did manage to squeak out a TD less On offense win with last years #9) stats and record vs these guys

Hopefully that’s not asking too much

Hey, if we lose to our perennial bitch Cardinals, at home with our “upgraded” QB after JG dominated these guys...well then we’re screwed,
unless of course AZ hangs 40 plus on us

Beat these guys then beat the Bucs

Got some bad news for you. Stafford is better than Goff.

You would think so...

However he is only better when he doesn't force things and actually manages a game like a vet QB.

Need to not let Murray break contain. Keep the mighty midget in the pocket. Also control their run game, while keeping them honest with ours.

Oh, and QB1 needs to manage the game; Keep drives going if your D is gassed. Pick your spots for a deep shot, but no heaves into triple coverage when its 3rd & 4 and higbee is wide open in the flat. And yeah, no pick six's.

You know, play like a pro bowl vet QB.

No more prevent defenses. Defend the short pass, anything under 10 yds. is high on Murray's progressions. The Rams have the front 4 to not have to blitz. Their OL struggled to protect Kyler in the last game.

Stafford, just take what is given. If the deep is given fine, but if he simply consistently takes the short and medium passes, he can get his pass out quickly, then it will open up the deep strikes later. If the pass isn't there then just throw the damn ball away. He needs to quit spotting the opposition points.

McVay needs to be patient in his play calling. Those slow developing deep strikes shouldn't be called when the Rams are backed up. The Cards will be blitzing a lot. He needs to have Higbee give Havenstein a chip on passing downs or Watt will eat Rob up. Sean needs to lean on the run in a way he hasn't since Gurley. This is also time to see if Aker's can still run. Sony should start but Akers needs to play significant snaps.

Get the run game going. If we can get Sony and Akers going along with having OBJ more involved in the passing game, I think we win this game easily
