Well, this yr he has been as bad as Goff's worse yr in regards to turnovers. What like 4 pick 6's this yr alone? More than Goff had in his career here.

So no, if he turns it over again & again, he is not better when he plays like that.

Yep all QBs turn over the ball at times. We forget how much of a team game this is. Give Matt time and get open downfield and he will pick you apart we have seen it this season. The Rams also need a solid run game tonight. Run out of the jumbo and open holes for Soni and Cam.
 
There is no question that Stafford has finished the season as a turnover machine, i.e. INTs and fumbles.

Raise your hand if you have confidence that Stafford can go through the playoffs without a turnover? IMO it's a matter if it will boot them out of the playoffs or if they can over come them.

I think Goff threw 13 INTs one season and McVay was all over him. Stafford threw 17 including multiple pick 6s and McVay has been ho hum. I like Stafford and think he's a great QB, but I'm not blind to his faults. He has a tendency to press every bit as much as Goff. He's going to be under even more pressure now to get the can't win a playoff game monkey off his back. The scenario is ripe for a loss because this year we have Morris an inept DC not Staley.

McVay can help Matt with his playcalling. Quit calling slow developing plays when backed up. Don't go away from the run, especially when it's working. Take the points when he can so that they aren't chasing them in the 4th qtr. Give Havenstein help against Watt because Watt will destroy Havenstein just like Carlos Dunlap consistently does.

The Cards are primarily a dink and dunk offense counting on YAC. The defense must tackle and McVay must win the TOP battle. Get out front and control the clock. Tell Morris no more prevent defenses when they have a lead.

The only way the Rams lose is if McVay, Morris and Stafford give it away.

Turnovers are the biggest indicator of which team wins or loses. So no, if you turn it over tonight or in Tampa or GB, you lose.

How many TDs did he throw in GB this yr, aside from the one he threw to Rasul Douglass? Didn't seem to matter when you factor in the killer turnovers.

Sadly it wasn't one of the normal Goff lovers started with his name. Somebody was offended that one of them felt we would have a better chance of winning if Stafford doesn't turn the ball over. Which is factually correct being that we're 9-0 when he doesn't turn the ball over. Some seriously fragile people around here.

I don't think it's very nice to call them Goff lovers. We need to be understanding of all our posters even those with disabilities.
