Just curious, before he becomes an afterthought.
Did he hold his own? I know the Rams D (and the Rams in general) had a nice day, but was curious about him specifically.

He had a pretty solid game ... nothing spectacular but for a rookie starting his first game he sure as hell didn't look out of place

Edit : I think he may have got a sack and I'm trying really hard to remember

From what I noticed he was ok.
Got pushed a few times and created some holes in the running game.
To be expected.

I remember him getting a tackle for sure, might have been for a loss. I just looked it up and he had two tackles.

Smart did well - we definitely have some good depth on the D-line. I've just rewatched the game and there were definitely a couple of solo tackles, one looked for loss. Walker was a bit of a beast too. Neither looked lost, once AD comes back, we have some solid rotational guys.

I hope we don't have to cut somebody to bring back Donald.
Whoever we do cut gets picked up immediately by some other team.

The DL starters of Westbrooks, Brockers & Walker did a good job. DL Smart was the main plug in & later DE Morgan Fox got in in the 4th quarter. Tanzel Smart saw most of his action @ both DE posts. Brockers Walker & Smart all saw action @ NT. DL Coach must be smiling big after the rookies first game.

Like most said Walker started...With Westbrooks and Brockers....Not bad. We seemed to get energized. I saw the Colts have some success running....But the push from the middle wasn't bad. #95 (Walker) seemed more disruptive. #92 wasn't as good....but no problems. I'd like to see some more/better gap control...Gore was running through some nice holes...If there was a problem in the run defense, I think Ogletree and Barron had most of the difficulties.

I think Tyrunn Walker played more and started at DE opposite Westbrooks.

And Tyrunn Walker looked REALLY good!

Poor Tyrunn has been through some crud lately and I think he took it out on the Colts Offense.
I was saying to myself "who the hell is that destroying the O-line and how did a possible pro-bowl player fall into our laps?"

Tyrunn actually had a high PFF grade coming into the season.
I'm not sure why Detroit let him go.

I'm not sure if he got a sack or not but he had that great play where he burst between the Center and the Guard on a stunt and nailed the running back in the backfield.

It was actually a tone-setter early in the game and a huge play.

I think it was actually walker

Thanks guys.
Good to know. Wow, the roster seems pretty "stacked" at this point - good DL, good secondary, good WR's, better QB play, pretty good pass protections.
Seems the main thing that needs some cleaning up would be the OL's run blocking.
