Can someone tell ESPN the Rams won the NFC West

I don't get it....

I just read an article about today's games and they start with Kansas City and how they are out of sync, but go on through the entire section praising their offense and that they pulled off a win with some small dropped passes and low running attack thanks to Kareem Hunt.

Then I read about the Rams and they spend the entire section explaining how off the Rams were and how close the Lions were to winning. They go on and on about Blount and the Lions, but say next to nothing about the Rams except that the Lions gave it up to a strip sack by Donald.

Is CNN running NFL Network?

The first rule of being a Ram fan is: you do not talk about ESPN. The second rule is: you DO NOT talk about ESPN.

I mean to be fair is not huge news. Pretty sure even the most casual fan knew they were going to win the division weeks ago. Its all about them clicks, and "duh" news isnt going to get many clicks

What is even more surreal is Fox flashing “Game of the Week” during the Whiner/shecocks game. Seriously? That’s your game of the week? Pathetic.
 
So the Rams offense was more than a little off today (Goff, running right up the middle with little success time and time again) but still pulled out an away victory. Meanwhile the Saints, Vikings, Bears, Panthers and Steelers all lose. The Chiefs almost lose to Raiders. A win is a win no matter how thin.

The media is infatuated with the old guard. The first Superbowl teams carry a certain romance for reporters. The Rams were always second fiddle. It's been proven that it takes a consistent run of dominance to win over the media. Even the GSOT team couldn't sustain it. The short successful run quickly turned to criticising Martz for passing to much and five years later, "the Rams are who we thought they were."

It's going to take a 1990's like 49ers run or a Brady like Patriots run for the media to finally regard the Rams as a franchise to be taken seriously. As Granny Hawkins would say "Short runs don't mean diddly squat."

The media will always pine for the teams of yesteryear though. It's that first love that gets them. The Packers, Chiefs, Bears, and Jets are teams the media desperately want to be good. Their excitement over them when they are, is nauseating.

This is very true. I’ve been watching the Rams/football since the 80’s and the rams have always been “back burner”. I just scrolled though NFL.com and there is a tiny link that is nearly at the bottom of the page about the Rams clinching the West. Last year when Eagles clinched their division early it was all the talk. It’s just how it is as a Rams fan. I’m used to it. I’m just enjoying the ride.

On NFL Network this morning on GMFB, they actually said they were suffering from "Rams fatigue" and I almost did a spit take on the couch.

There are porn stars who haven't slobbed the knob harder than these fools have done for years with the Pats, Steelers, Broncos, Packers, Seahawks, Cowboys, Giants and a few others.

Fatigue? You mean ONE damn year talking about the Rams is giving them fatigue when almost all football talk has been the Pats...and everyone else for over a decade???

So when it's Rams v Texans in the Super Bowl, I fully expect them to be on broad spectrum antibiotics and have IVs attached and getting the full B vitamin spread injected to also ward off... "Rams fatigue." Apparently, that's a thing. I've been a Rams fan since '76 when I first moved to LA and I guess I'm immune (bout the only thing I am immune to...).

Ya know...from talking about "other" teams...

As for ESPN, I'm not even sure they got the memo that football is back in LA.

I didn't know people still watched that shit show, I have not watched them in years. I spend more time getting my sports news off the internet than I do watching the TV . I just watch games on TV those dumb asses on ESPN don't know shit and it is very obvious.

I saw that too. Nate said it, and he actually favors the Rams. But after years of talking about Brady and Belicheat, how do they have the gall to say that? When it's not the Patriots, it's Rodgers, or Brees.

I only turn that show on while I eat breakfast. It's all I can take anymore. Kyle and Kay dreaming of the Bears being good, despite them only beating losing teams gets old. Whatever just creeps me out. He looks like a ghoul, that acts like a giddy school girl. His over the top excitement is weird. Nate is the only one that's any good. Other people think so too because he's on one of the network pregame shows now.
