Until the Rams start winning and beating SEA and SF.......then the media will pay attention for sure. You know how it works, win and you get attention lose and you get nothing.

True that! But that still doesn't explain the continual media love for the the perennial 8-8 Cowboys. It must either be the cheerleaders or the hilarious Jerry Jones freak show.

I have never understood it! But I've hated the Cowboys since, will, Long before they started calling themselves America's Team!

Really, it's the whole America's Team title that made me hate them, nothing more.

I started a thread and used my referral link. I'm at 18 and counting in 2 days.

As Obama says, never let a disaster go to waste! :welcome:
20 now. Way to go, dude. Hell of an opportunist you are.

For me it was Hollywood Henderson and his "The Rams don't have enough class to win the Superbowl" garbage. That was not to be surpassed for many years until SOSAR came along.

Man that whole SOSAR thing really bugged the shit out of me. I was on the AOL Football Boards when that was at its peak, and the whiner fans used to come over to ours (and vice-versa) to spout that stupid saying for years. Then, after the Rams punked them twice in 99 on their way to the SB, we couldn't keep off of their boards. AOL had to employ additional monitors to try and keep us at bay. That was the very definition of payback right there.

Are you in the Northwest? Just wondering if you are one of us webfoots up here.

Yes, living among the SeaChickens. Been a Rams fan since the 70's. Thank you all for creating this forum and giving me a new place to go for real football talk about a team I love.

I think I was doing the The Sporting News then. And one called Rampages. That was a way back. That first '99 beat down of the 9ers still brings tears to my eyes. That was a beautiful thing.

What praytell, do referrals do? I mean besides referring people?
You get like 25K or something if someone joins using your referral link and posts 10 times.
You can find your personal referral link when you click on your username at the top-right of the page.
(it's at the bottom of the drop-down menu)

And yeah, it really was. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was getting into it with some clown on the 49ers AOL board, and his *exact* words early in the game were, "We've got you guys right where we want you." This was after about 6 minutes into the game and no score. lol. I came back at him a few minutes later (after Bruce's third TD in the first quarter) with, "Is that where you wanted us? With our foot on your throats?" And the rest is history.

The Creator would be @-X- I'm just a long time member of the best forum on the net. The site is maintained by @PhxRam A few of us just try to help out.

We won't be able to make it up to Seattle for the game this year as they keep screwing us and making it the last game (Christmas time) but we generally make it up for the Rams game. Are you in Seattle? A few others on here are up there. I'm down on the central coast of Oregon.

Oh yeah. I was in a bar called the Graduate with my Dad over by Sacramento State with a bunch of 9er fans. And we were all getting into it. Then Marhsall Faulk went down and it looked like he was hurt. These 9er fans started clapping! I jumped up, "Okay, the gloves are off now!" And for the first time in a long time, the Rams backed my play! I was as obnoxious as years of SOSAR and beer could make me! They left in the third quarter. Me and my dad were having so much fun. My step mom actually got mad at how we were acting and left us there.

In retrospect, I believe I may have behaved badly. BUT, I had to "take" it for so many years and the worm had finally turned. That was a great game.
