When's the snowman going up?

We didn't get anything other than a few minor flurries and a whole lotta wind.

no f-in snowman... I hate the stuff

spent the day updating virus protection, backing up puters, installing add-ons and such... putting off doing my taxes lol

I have no idea how much snow we got, except they shutdown our main highway for about 5hrs and I've got a massive drift in my driveway from the ridiculous wind.

I'll fire up the snowblower in the morning to deal with it. Until then, it would just fill in again as the wind is still howling.

Seriously, ND has like NO snow. It's been brown damn near all year. For the life of me I cannot figure it out. If I'm going to live where it's balls cold 6 months at a time, at least give me a a couple feet of snow to show for it. Hell the occasional day off due to blizzard would be appreciated. Otherwise I may as well move to a place with culture and snow...or culture and warmer temps. Probably the latter.

We have been considering making a break for it, but I don't have much resume fodder yet, so I feel obligated to stick around for some experience to better market myself in the future.

Nasty storm missed us here in VT for the most part and spared NYC but really nailed them out on Long Island, CT, R.I. and especially eastern Mass up the coast to Maine. Almost 3' of snow around Worcester, MA and storm surge flooding south of Boston with 75 mph wind gusts.

How you doing in NH Alan? I think Rhody's got the right idea. Hunker down and ride it out.

I've got a dozen drivers on the road from southern NJ to Bangor, Maine. Going to be a long night for most of them.

Dang, last time it snowed here was like, uh, I never seen it snow here. Heck, seems like last time it rained was during the 40 days and 40 nights thing. Prolly won't be allowed to water the lawn. I think I'll take it out and put in cactus.

Glad you didn't get destroyed... and more importantly didn't run out of the essentials (beer).

Snow? Snow? You talking nose candy? Closest thing to snow I'd could possibly see here in South Georgia. It got down to 28 degrees last night. :p

Why was Frosty The Snowman smiling?

That looks so cool.

It's in the freaking 70s this weekend in Oklahoma. Sounds great, right? WRONG. It's going to be in the 30s-40s next week. Can't stand bi-polar weather.

  • Wind gusts of 50 mph but little snow here in Cumberland, MD. It was a rough night here. The beaches of Santa Cruz, CA are beckoning me.
