Let me test my thoughts on this.....

The 49ers have slaughtered us in most of the Kyle Shanahan years in Frisco. They have always had that bully persona with a punishing run game AND a demoralizing Kittle and now Deebo short passing game over the gut of the defense, which is where Wagner will hopefully stop them cold. I watched a little bit of film and he is a sledge hammer and is quick to sniff out misdirection pf which Jimmy G likes to take advantage. Getting pressure up the gut by Aaron Donald and/or on the edge with Floyd, will pop Jimmy G. like a nasty zit, resulting in sacks or interceptions. I believe the Seagals had good games vs the Niners because of what Wagner did in the middle for them.

To be fair, Seahag fanboi's wanna harsh Merlin's buzz, by saying that Wagners legs are gone and that he is a vulnerable in coverage now that he's older. Sour grapes or do we have a later version of Baby Animal at MLB? 2nd Team or 1st Team All Pro for Bobby last year counters that narrative. I think Wagner will look rejuvenated by being surrounded with a great defense which doesn't depend on him to be the defensive savior. Consequently, with either Jimmy G or the not-ready-for-prime time Trey Lance, the smashmouth feel of the Niners matching up against us will be different. I think the Rams split or sweep them this year.

Somebody pick @Loyal up off the floor again please!
Actually, I was the shortest kid on the court and I'd take those tall skinny kids down with well placed fouls. We had the old style Lakers jerseys and I acted like a mean 3ft tall Kurt Rambis.... (no blue font)

Nick Scott doesn't know how many fans he made that day lol

Well , I remember the hit & I lost it!!

Saw the Flags & that would have been it for The Rams.I was HOT!!

I don’t like that St.Louis announcer, but he made a good call on that one.Your average Joe might be doing Monday Night Football.

Excellent hit & yes text book.

Yes I'd say Wagner was a direct result of how we handled the way teams like the Whiners attacked us. Hopefully they trade Deebo and we don't have to worry about him anymore.

No, we need to keep Deebo around. Bobby Wagner, Earnest Jones, & AD99 all want to posterize him some more. Nick Scott is getting ongoing requests for some encore collisions with his favorite '9er target. :laugh1:

Did you wear dorky looking birth control glasses like Rambis used to wear?

And I'm happy to know that all those whiner front-running bandwagoners trying to take over our stadium saw that smackdown hit live. Kick their top player's ass, make him cry, and after we win watch them all leave in droves with heads down. Loved all of that, starting with this hit.
