Looking at the rest of the board I think we have to strongly consider trading up for Burden depending on our evaluation of his football character and culture fit.

But hell if we can get OBJ to integrate, it would seem odd if we can't get this kid to be a team player. I'm no psychologist but unlike Sanders just watching some of Burden's interviews and how his coach sticks up for him I think the diva rumors have been way overblown.
I really hope we don't trade up for a guy like Burden or anyone to be honest. If he falls to us, sure, take a chance but trading up is going to remove several of our dart throws that we have left for this year.

There is at least a solid 14 players that would be good picks staying were we are.

I'd actually not be surprised if we traded back again a bit. Too early for Fannin here but our late 3rd is likely too late. Just a hunch.

You don't like Higgins or do you think he'll be gone by 46? With Puka's injury history and Adams getting up there in age I definitely want to go WR although Whittington was impressive last year.
I just prefer the WR's on my board to Higgins. Wouldn't hate him, but would prefer those that I listed.

My Rams Second Round Draft Board

Shavon Revel Jr., CB, ECU
Jaylin Noel, WR, Iowa State
Jayden Higgins, WR, Iowa State
Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss
Mason Taylor, TE, LSU
Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota
TreVeyon Henderson, RB, OSU
Jack Bech, WR, TCU
Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri
Ozzy Trapilo, OT, Boston College
Oluwafemi Oladejo, EDGE, UCLA
Nick Emmanwori, DB, SC
Elijah Arroyo, TE, Miami*
Ben Morrison, CB, Notre Dame*
Will Johnson, CB, Michigan*

Off Board Due to Character Concerns
Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall

* Injury Red Flag
Mike Green's background must not have checked out I'm guessing as he is as talented as any edge in this class, if clean.

One guy that keeps intriguing me is Emmanwori. I think he is big and athletic enough to line up at MLB on passing downs and SS on running downs. He might be too raw for a Superbowl bound team, but, he's a heck of a chess piece.

I think they do trade up and get there guy

I still wouldn’t mind the Rams picking him. He could instantly add to the offense in certain situations like QB sneaks and short yardage plays. Fake to Kyren and have Milroe run around the end for a 50 yard gain.
I'd love if they picked him. Even at 46. Mostly because of everything you're saying, and a small part of me would love to see folks here go ballistic

At least the Jaxson Dart BS is over.
Guessing they will try for McCord but no idea where they want him for value.

Shough probably goes off soon tonight with Green and company. Milroe should be there for us, well maybe, but don't think he is the target.

I'm hoping for TE or CB at 46.

Anybody on that list will be fine as long as the Rams stay completely away from any Sanders BS. I never vehemently not wanted a QB in our locker room that much since.... Rodgers!

I'll go a step further and say whoever drafts him I hope he plays vs the Rams and Verse cleans his F'N clock.

he was a starter last year
Agree that he’s a solid player, but he started nine games last year.

Speights is a promising player, but suffers from being overrated because he’s one of our own.

We need a difference maker at linebacker to stop Saquon and the like in the playoffs.

I'd root for Emmanwori if they drafted him, but to be honest I'd rather they sign a similar player in former 1st rounder in Isaiah Simmons who is still a free agent if that's what they want.

The Linebackers take most of the heat on those Saquon runs, but I've always wondered about the run support from the safety position.

How does Steve Smith rank these top remaining WRs that’ll go in next 10-60 picks?

They traded the pick before 11pm eastern, which was 10pm central time. What time did you get to bed? 9pm your time? Did you eat dinner at the restaurant before 5pm so you could get the discount?
Of course not, early bird specials start at 4:30. Bingo starts at the senior home at 5:30.

I just wish there was a way for us to know if the Rams were ever interested in him. With them trading back one pick after he was selected may lead some to believe that we moved back because he was gone.

I do Not want to hear that for the next 50,000 years!!

Is there any chance Leveston is our RT of the future? Just curious.. because Simmons has a high, high ceiling, imo and can play either side. I wonder if they're sandbagging people on that.
He's not an outstanding athlete.. but, famously, neither is Havenstein.

1. Jayden Higgins, Iowa State
2. Luther Burden III, Missouri
(Had Tet McMillan Next)
3. Kyle Williams, Washington State
4. Jalen Royals, Utah State
5. Jack Bech, TCU
6. Jaylin Noel, Iowa State

Interesting. I thought Noel was superior to Higgins in most every regard, yet he has him after Royals who I'd put last on this list by a margin. I have to admit, Burden would certainly intrigue me at our pick.

I have to think they had that trade figured out and agreed to well before Dart was announced as the selection, as the trade was leaked prior. Not that the Rams couldn't have had the info that Dart was the pick prior, but, their board may have been empty after both TE's and Barron were selected. That said, what the hell do I know?

Wow I didn't realize that the trade leaked prior. That makes me believe that you're right, it was agreed to already.
