Awesome episode. Love seeing behind the scenes draftroom during the draft.

What really struck me is how much they really, REALLY wanted Fiske. Especially after getting Verse (who they really wanted as well). Fiske was their guy going into the draft and they were talking getting him immediately after 19. Tried to trade up for him and shot down every pick until Carolina accepted. McVay saying do whatever we can to get gim and make this happen. He was 100% on board.

Just finished watching both episode 1 and 2. Very well produced! Some good insight and just what a football fan would want from their team.

Does any other NFL team produce something like this? If they do, I'm sure it's not as good as our Rams production.

Pretty impressed the way the Rams media department has evolved over the years. It was complete shit in STL and the first years in LA. Damn impressed where we are now and the production value and the direction they continue to head.

That’s why that trade cost like it did. Everybody in town by then knew the Rams were wanting to move up pretty bad.

Just awesome watch. McVay/Snead scheming. Verse/Fiske dreaming. Best made plans executed to perfection. Damn. Just plain damn!!! what a jolt to see the behind the scenes. It’s fun to be a Rams fan these days!!

Can't go wrong with character + talent. Have to say that as good as last year's draft was, it wouldn't surprise me if this one is right up there with our best ever. I really like what they did with that defensive front.

Interesting, by the way, how jumpy Coach gets. I get it too. I'm like that as well and I'm just a fan. Also James mentioning that the roster overall had more opportunity than most others around the league was telling. I agree with that, and am of the mind that the staff really outdid themselves last season. Also McVay mentioning he wanted a defensive addition with outspoken attitude was interesting, paraphrasing of course. And his note re: the battles ahead for both lines in camp about to get real.

Well now I'm all fuckin pumped but back to the video games I suppose. :laugh3:

The way the Rams organization does everything is top notch. This is a good time to be a Rams fan, we deserve it after the 90s.
Amazing how far they have come. As I mentioned once before, it was only about 9 yrs ago when they lit their own turf field on fire for their home opener, in that crappy dome in Stl... now look at them.

I felt bad for Vito, but

you know you want one:

That was an awesome watch. Obviously they cut out all the discussion of any prospects they didn't draft but it does seem like one of their top plans was Verse/Fiske all along and they made it happen. Fiske especially, it almost seemed like that was the only target on their mind after the Verse pick and McVay would've lost it if they hadn't been able to get him.

In case you missed it they had Kinchens ranked in their top 50! Steal?
Maybe so. Though of course every team had guys like that in their draft, who they probably had higher than many other teams, and who "they could not believe" made it to them. So just a matter of whether they're right about him. It would be a big deal if they hit on him though, because with the FA addition that means the safety position is completely rebuilt and we'll get more consistency on that back end. Our corners are iffy, so they're gonna need things to go their way and getting good play by the safety pairing will help in that regard.

Lot of moving parts on defense. So many new pieces, plus AD being gone, plus the new shot caller. It's hard to say what we're gonna get but it does feel like the talent level jumped significantly this offseason.

100% agree.

I’m thinking if we get mid way ranked defense we are at least a WC team. Top 10
Division Round, Top 8 NFc Championship type of team .

I'm expecting a top ten defense this year. Might be on the overly positive side, but we were middle of the pack in some key metrics last season with a much less talented group.

So I think Shula needs to show he can elevate this bunch to a new level. Hope he's ready for that.

That’s my big iffy. How can Shula continue the learning arcs and initiate them for our rookies and UDFA’s.

Going to be curious what scheme changes he makes.

Just a wild hunch our f’n DB’s aren’t going to be 8+ yards off the LOS every effing play especially on 3rd and shorts.

Man, if you watch that as a true Ram fan, it has to give you a sense of extreme appreciation for our leadership. It's frickin' ego-less! I mean, giving lower-level scouts the opportunity to deliver life-long dream-news to picks? Jerry Jones ain't doin' that. What a class organization that makes me so proud to be a fan of!
