Well, we know one thing going in to this game, they at least got a handle on the illegal double forward pass rule... Or do they?
I'd really like to see Ramsey lock down Evans and force them to beat us with everyone else. At the same time I'm also nervous at the thought of Ramsey and his trash talking getting that "inopportune" flag for which Evans is famous for drawing
Rams got to take it to them early and often. I see a 10-14 point clear win, or we're in trouble

I've decided that I will be rooting for the Niners Saturday.

I think the Packers, now closer to full strength, might actually be more talented than us, coupled with them being at home and us having just traveled across the country (if we win of course).

Not counting my chickens, but that game is first, and I'll be cheering for the Niners. Won't cry if they lose though.

We lost 5 games this year and all 5 losses were to teams in the playoffs.

We avenged one loss last night, but the other 4 losses all belong to teams left in the divisional round.
Damn that is a pretty impressive statement. Makes me even more confident in this team.

I'm more worried about the NFC Championship game. ;)

Let's hope the Rams are not thinking the same way, because Tom Brady sure isn't, and he'll send the Rams back home with their tails between their legs if LA comes out flat. With the Bucs injuries, I think the Rams should win this one, despite what the Vegas odds and talking heads say. But Tampa Bay is still a really good team. We'll need to bring our A game to beat them.

We need to throw in some blitz packages featuring Rapp or Reeder. Use Akers in the passing game and keep on with the play action that keeps Stafford moving. Take what they give us and don't force big plays. We got this.

what did he do? I missed it
Smacked his player in the helmet when he pulled an opponent off the pile. Uncalled for.

Bucs players may be a little less trusting of their coach come this weekend.

I want revenge for '89 so bad. The NFC championship crushed young rdw.
That was such a magical playoff run in '89. Going in to Philly and beating the Randall Cunningham/Reggie White led Eagles. Then going into New York and beating that Lawrence Taylor/Carl Banks led Defense with a walk off, up the tunnel stunner, in overtime!
Only to get crushed by the F'n Niners, phantom sack and all. I too was crushed that day. It would be so sweet to beat Brady this weekend and then give some much deserved payback to those F'n Niners!

Sometimes a good slap is needed. :laugh4:

Heard on NFL Network today that the Bucs offense is #1 in quick pass and Rams defense is dead last against it.

This is the puzzle Morris has to solve. If so we should win the game.

Stafford also has to be on his game. Last time around starting CB’s Bunting and Dean were hurt and so was pass rusher JPP. We need precision and ball control.

With no Godwin or Brown and possible injuries to Jensen and Wirfs they are possibly down 4 pro bowl
Players.

I like our chances and the matchup if we stop the quick pass game and win the turnover battle.

We’ve said that all season and it was also our weakness last year. The first half of the Niners game is the only time it seemed to work.

QBs faced by the Bucs this year:

Prescott Ryan
M. Jones Brisset
Hurts. Fields
Siemian. Heinicke
D. Jones. Wentz
J. Allen. S. Darnold
Z. Wilson

Pretty lackluster list outside of J. Allen yet the Bucs finished like #22 against the pass.

Now, I’m not saying we abandon the run-especially with the return of Akers but what I will say is that with the addition of OBJ and what Akers provides in the passing game that as long as our OL doesn’t shit the bed Stafford should absolutely be able to torch this secondary.

I think that as long as we have any type of decent running game-doesn’t have to be spectacular-that our offense should be able to move the ball at will. Stafford just needs to be smart and not try to force anything because he should have an open receiver the majority of the game.

what did he do? I missed it

He hit a player on the helmet (not a "Let's GO!" type hit, but a "I'm mad at you for doing something stupid" hit) for doing something that could draw a flag. The player was pulling guys off of the pile which is a 15 yard personal foul.

It's a MASSIVE no-no among the players and NFLPA.

If a player did that to a coach, they'd be released immediately.

I'm sure the org doesn't want to focus on that, but the league had to address it.

Not so sure about the blitz packages on Brady because he's very savvy at dealing with them. All you need is an open seam and you've given up big yardage. Of course the Rams will have some...whether they use them will be dictated by the game.

I think Miller, Donald, ARob, and Gaines/Floyd are more than enough to get after Brady.
