My patience is wearing thin with Wong. Barely acceptable defense and he runs the bases like a Little Leaguer.:banghead:

The Dodgers have now lost 6 series on the year and swept 12 series. This team is so deep it's just stupid.

@dieterbrock How do you feel about trading for Lance Lynn? He's a workhorse starter. Goes through a lot of innings, doesn't hurt you at all. Only reason the Cardinals consider trading him is because his contract ends after this year.

Any third base prospects you can trade us?
Have to give you major props on this, rumors are heating up now about Yanks interest in Lynn. You had this weeks ago!
Would Andujar do the trick?

Incredible. They've won like 36 straight games when they've had a lead at any point in a game. 36-6 in last 42? Just crazy.

Andujar works just fine. :D

I've been a Dodger fan since the late 60's. I've never seen a stretch like this. Incredible. They appear to be just as stacked as the Cubs were last year. But in my opinion the Cubs had a better overall starting rotation last year. The Dodgers bullpen borders on dominance. Jansen is as dominant as it gets.

The past couple years the best team did win it all. But we've seen many times a lesser team gets hot at the right time and wins it all. I think the Dodgers need another starter. I'd love Sonny Gray but I hear it probably won't happen.

The Dodgers will likely be favored but its a new season in October. What you did the previous 6 months means nothing except it got you there. I think Hill can have a good postseason. We'll see about Wood. He looked vulnerable the last two starts after dominating all year. After that, I don't feel comfortable with the rest. Any of them are capable of getting knocked out by the 3rd inning. I'd feel better about their chances if they acquired another solid starter. We know pitching tends to dominate the playoffs and runs will be harder to come by.

It is rare for a team to have five hitters with +20 home runs a year power.

The Dodgers have seven.

Bellinger, Seager, Turner, Peterson, Taylor, Grandal, and Puig.

That is some serious firepower and combined with the top pitching staff in the league it is proving to be just too tough to beat.

I want to see the Dodgers crush the red buzzards in the playoffs. (Payback.)

Then, sweep Yankees in the WS. (Payback 2.)

It would be perhaps the greatest year in Dodger history.

Sorry, not going to happen this year. I highly doubt that the Cardinals make the playoffs this year because they're currently hovering at .500. Our pitchers have been bad, our offense has been bad, our defense has been bad, our bullpen has been atrocious. I haven't been on the fire-Matheny bandwagon before now, but I don't want him to manage the Cards after this year.

I'm not one to usually complain about umpires but this guy doing the Dodgers vs Giants game tonight is absolutely atrocious. All night long a pitch on the corner is a strike the very next pitch same exact spot ball. He's so inconsistent it's just bad and it's both ways.

First MLB at bat is a walk off 2 rbi double vs the scumbags from the Bay Area!!!

If the Cardinals make the playoffs and meet the Dodgers......well everyone knows how that ends even if the Bums have 8 starters with 40 home runs each.:yay: I remember a time when the Cardinals won the series from the Dodgers in LA and the Dodgers accepted defeat with grace.:grouphug: Oh well if the teams meet please let Kershaw start at least two games.(y)

Its still July. Lots of time left. Something about this team, franchise in September. Keep the faith.

So far their season has been incredible. Only the 1980 Royals 40-8 start can compare and that team didn't bust 100 wins. Lost the WS too. Baseball does one thing better than any other sport in that the season and grind is so long that it is a great equalizer especially in the dog days and beyond. Dodgers have arguably had almost everything go right so far. We'll see if they can maintain the pace, be focused or prove to be resilient when adversity strikes.....and it will. Playoffs are a clean slate.

Yu still like the Dodgers @OldSchool??
:D

Our GM and President of Baseball operations are damned wizards getting all this done today. Team is looking stacked especially once Kershaw comes back.

The Dodgers look great. They've addressed clear weaknesses and filled the holes.

I wish the Cards had done the same.

Don't know about those lefties, but Yu was a great pickup and didn't cost too much. Glad to see SVS get a new opportunity.
Watson should be fine out of the pen for us he'll be a lefty specialist at most. It's interesting though right now on the TV broadcast they're interviewing Zaidi and discussed Cingrani. He said the Dodgers coaches identified things they see he's doing wrong and will work on to fix. He's a typical Friedman purchase bought low and let coaches fix and turn around. Exactly what they did with Alex Wood.
