This kinda reminds me a bit of the show Playmakers that was on in the early 2000's
 
I'm gonna bump this cause I can't believe no one else is psyched about this
 
I admit it looks good , but we don't get HBO , so that will probably be one many other shows I'll never get around to watching
 
Totally psyched for this!!! I love me some Dwayne Johnson, and this show looks to be kick ass.
 
For me, I'd rather see a show where they dont sensationalize the partying, the dug use, the womanizing etc. I'd rather see the more realistic down to business, day to day grind.
I'm pretty good friends with 2 former NFL guys, one who was an olineman for the Giants and another guy who was a journeyman punter. Both say pretty much the same thing, there are cases of some guys living wild in the off season but from training camp to december its all business
 
For all you nerds out there, I highly recommend Silicon Valley on HBO. It is damn funny. Ballers looks like it could go either way for me. It feels too much like Entourage or something comparable that would not appeal to me.

Looks good! Between this and true detective I actually won't be canceling my HBO after game of thrones is finished.

Wouldn't be very entertaining for most people haha. It's all business for most players but there are always a few that push the envelope. Some of the stories you hear are crazy. I bet those guys had a few to tell you.
 
Silicone Valley is funny as hell.
 
Watching the opening credits for the first episode and I saw that former Rams HB John David Washington (Denzel's son) is in the show. Interesting.

I spy Steven Jackson.
