Nope, multiple injuries took us out of the game this year, but we'll be back as strong as ever next year with a few smart acquisitions during the draft and free agency.

Not toast, WONDER BREAD ...

.

all i can say is thank the lord i didn't put any money on them to win the superbowl this season. all the positive feedback from training camp had me itching to put a sizable bet down. in the end i'm just not a gambler so i can't give up the money that way.

little did we know that the positive vibes came from the offense facing the raheem morris ole d in training camp. once they started facing real defenses they looked like utter crap. meanwhile even the most mundane offenses move the ball at will against the rams putrid d.

.

@OldSchool , we shall see I suppose.

As easy as it can fall apart , it can just as easily be sewn back together.

If you had told me this time last year … I will give you a Super Bowl victory … but the next season you will be a 3-14 team …
I take the SB victory every time !

I don't see anyway we climb out of that hole. Now for next seasons, I still think we're in good hands with McSnead. A bunch of injuries at the wrong places called their bluff this year.
Now what I'm worried about is the lack of energy, of grind, shown by players. This makes games hard to watch right now, harder than it was to watch bad Fisher teams that were going hard at it every game imho

Absolute toast franchise won't win again for years.
Watching the Niners tonight reinforced how far we are from competing for another Super Bowl. They have talent all over the field, on both lines, RB, TE etc. No wonder they kick our ass. They are one trade-- say, Aaron Rodgers-- away from rolling over the NFC.

Not so with the Rams. Yes, there have been catastrophic injuries, but no, we don't have the depth to recover. We lack key starters and depth on both sides of the field.

Rams will be fortunate if Stafford returns for another season. The only playmaker on offense is Kupp and he's out. They otherwise lack weapons at WR, RB and TE. They need at least three new starters on the oline. No running game. No running backs. Overall, the O lacks both speed and power/blocking. The D is better but also lacks key players. AD and Ramsay can't do it all on their own.

A rebuild will likely take time. How long is hard to say. Rams lack high picks and cap space. Double whammy. Too many holes to fill. You can patch holes on a solid roster, but you can't rebuild a roster with a few hired guns. The coaching, drafting, and strategy are now at issue too. Will AD and McVay hang around for this?

Sorry to say this, but-- imo the Rams mortgaged their future to win the Super Bowl and now are about to pay for it.

Fugit!!! as long the whiners don't win crap, I'm ok with this season. I've seen enough to know better that this team will be relevant again.

Trade Ramsey for a 1 & a 2 or a 3. This also saves $5M in cap space.

Release Floyd & Wagner with post June 1st designations. Saves $15M & $7M.

So these 3 moves alone adds draft capital and opens up $27M in cap room.

This can then be used to fortify the line to protect Stafford and give him another weapon or two. This plan may be enough to convince him to put off retirement and make them competitive by putting together a top offense.

Then the defense becomes younger by playing our young guys like Rochelle & Durant and maybe Hardy. Then you emphasize adding speed on defense in the draft and a few cheap FAs.

That's my plan

Oh, and find a functional back up QB and or draft a guy with upside.

Look at it this way...this team has a heck of a lot more going for it than the 2016 team did and look what happened in 2017.

Have a somewhat healthy season next yr and they will be good.

The rest of the season, I shall be rooting extra hard for anyone who plays the whiners.

I really do not see the Rams winning another game. There will be more shortcomings, more blowouts, more Stafford hard hits.

Just white flag it, play the young guys. I know it doesn't look good tanking to the league but this season has been a nightmare.

Remember when Keenum took that awful hit under Fisher? Stafford's had a few too many of those already. FoozB@ll be a ruff sp0rt.

That is every game of every season regardless of what is going on.
Hell, when I used to have to do hiring (for a small company) if football came up when talking (I had a Rams pennant in my office) and they were Whiner fans, I wouldn't hire them.
If I see a fender bender and one car has a Whiner sticker on it, I hope that person is at fault.
If I see someone in a Whiner jacket eating at a restaurant, I hope their food isn't cooked correctly.
Every day and every way, F the Whiners.
