We don't get many chances to take legit shots at the Patriots... :sneaky: ...might as well overreact a little from week one. Here goes...

Edelman is out for the season.

Amendola is out this week, and notoriously injury prone. Is he their best WR right now?

Can the Pats keep plugging in no-names at WR and get the job done?

What about their defense? They looked like a hot mess week one. Not good.

Brady is getting old.

Rumors are flying Gronk has lost burst.

Is this team in trouble?

This is the only way I want to see Tom Brady for the remainder of his career :

I hope that they're finished. I hope to fucking fate that they're done.

I doubt it, though. Two of the worst teams in football (Bills and Jets) are in their division. The Dolphins aren't going to mount a serious challenge. All three of those teams are dysfunctional from the top down.

But I hope that the Cheatriots never win another Super Bowl again.

not gonna bet against Bill and Tom but I do think this could be their last year in the league and after that I could see a downfall

As long as Brady is playing like he has been (not counting last week I mean overall) they are getting 10 wins at least because like @Memento essentially pointed out they have 5-6 wins in the division and have 10 games to get 4-5 other wins. Depending on who they get on the rest of the schedule 11-12 wins is not out of the question. And that's pretty much what they do every year.

Since Brady an Belichik stepped in they have less than 11 wins just 3 times in 16 years and two of those times they had 10 wins.

They play in a division with shit owners, shit GM's and shit coaches with lots of turnover at those positions. On the other hand they themselves are savvy and don't do dumb shit very often and have an owner who is driven to win.

As long as Brady can throw the ball, and there isn't a divisional restructuring (hahaha), they will usually win 11-13 games with the occasional 14 and 10 win seasons. He's that good, and that consistent. I hate to say it but it is in fact the case.

When he is gone I'd bet that BB hang it up or gets off the sidelines and gets an office job as President.

And then we will see what happens, but until then they will win a lot of games.

This is why the Cheatriots have never had a problem Winning their Division. And they probably won't in the near Future, unless Tommy and Billy decide to retire!

I think Brandin Cooks is a pretty good WR so they do have him and Rex Burkhead may help them out in the screen game.

Brady has to start slowing down eventually, doesn't he? Take away a few key players to age and or injury like Gronk and Edelman, and maybe the lose to good teams and defeat the bad ones.

We have to start seeing a drop off sooner or later.

Their defense is pretty suspect. No pass rushers, Hightower playing out of position and hurt this week. Gilmore makes too many mental mistakes and Butler has looked bad since training camp. If they lose this weekend there could be more signs of a regression.

The only thing that will save them is the AFC lEast. Might be the worst division in football

They will be fine , their division is not the greatest. I say Brady plays ok this year but eventually he will hit that age wall and not produce anymore.

I think if TB12 takes a good beating this year his wife will make him quit.

Was going to say the same thing. Amendola is a fine WR when healthy, but Brandin Cooks is a level higher than Amendola.
