We have two first round picks. An enticing offer for the team who picks first if they aren't one who needs a quarterback. Probably take an extra 2nd or 3rd along with the two firsts. But the problem is, Cleveland also has two firsts. Theirs and Jacksonville's. They need a quarterback. If they aren't picking first their picks will be a lot higher than ours. They'd have more to offer. But would Manning want to go to Cleveland? If he knows they have the top pick he just might want to stay in college another year.

The short list is 32 teams
I was speaking of the Mannings short list of teams they want to lay for. There is a 0% chance they want to play for half of the teams in the NFL. And there is a good chance they exercise their want.

Its a ROD autocorrect. Think of it as our tribute to Golden Taint from his days in Seattle.
Well, we need to get rid of that autocorrect then. Never liked the idea of my post getting changed. The words we type need to be put up as is.
Thats just me, I do not even like it when people react to one of my post with the "Fixed it for you". If I wanted to type that, I would.

They don’t have a choice in who drafts them.
This wish list of teams stuff is just fan fantasy.
This comparison to Eli situation is just silly.

I have wondered whether Trevor Lawrence might be available after the season. I will throw another crazy one at you. Could Caleb Williams be available to be fixed by Sean if things go sideways in Chicago?

Both would cost some draft capital for sure. But at some point if the Rams draft a QB they will probably take a flyer on a retread at the same time to allow for a bridge QB. And I say that because I suspect this is Stafford's last season with us. They barely got it done this offseason so the combo of two first round picks probably will mean both sides go their separate ways and the Rams will reload the position.

Hope he goes out with us winning the title. He's my favorite QB so having two titles feels right.

My crazy hat conspiracy theory:
* Rams keep talking up Manning
* Falcons have horrible year securing #1 OA pick
* Rams trade 1 OA to move back to 5-10 getting a ton of prime extra picks
* Rams pick their future QB they wanted all along at 5-10
* use rest of extra top picks for stud CB, OTs, WR
* win

It's EARLY in camp but Williams not looking good so far with Johnson... And Williams problems are things McVay would not particularly like though I think his offense isn't quite as complicated as Johnson's so maybe McVay could not overwhelm the kid and reign in his off schedule tendencies - which are more about just playing off schedule but also not doing it smartly these days.

Time to get crucified: I think the chances of the Rams having the higher pick are higher than the Falcons but I think the chances of both teams having decent to good seasons are highest.

Basically, I think the Rams floor is lower than the Falcons but also that their ceiling is way higher. I think the Falcons will be a middle of the pack team no matter what with a high floor and a mediocre ceiling.

Ummm, yeah dude that was tongue-in-cheek. You should not be responding to my post in a serious manner whatsoever lol ;)

I think it's likely that the Falcons are a middle of the pack team, but I don't see a high floor for them.

I see moderate floor, mediocre ceiling. I think there's a decent chance that the bottom could fall out for them.

The idea that you can land the top QB prospect is laughable. The worst team will get him.

Agree pretty much with this.

I'd call their floor 6-11, ceiling 9-8.
