No Will Johnson?

I know there have been a few recent reports regarding injury concerns, but it's hard to see him falling completely out of the first round.

He was mocked to the 9ers in one of the very first syndicated mocks I saw/read. Now I haven’t seen his name in the 1rst round in the last couple of days.

I hope the 9ers haven’t been paying attention and take him.

DJ mocked Hampton to the Rams tonight on his live mock draft on NFLN. Who knows, maybe it could be trending that he will at least be there.
Wouldn't complain as Hampton's a bellcow with wheels, but I'd rather they move down and take Martinez if they want to invest in the backfield. This offense is nasty with a power threat.

It is funny though how McVay says he wants the backfield by committee but the Rams have never been good under him at managing that. Seems like they build trust in one dude and go with him.

If it fell like this, with no chance to trade down, Hampton would be tempting. Maybe you then move Williams or Corum with such a move.
It would indeed. And we wouldn't have to trade either KW or BC. Make our RB room a powerhouse.
Hampton has the size, speed & flexibility to be a 3-down RB HR threat. Judkins, Treyveon? maybe with a trade-down.

I think he will be a nice value in the 2nd and I wouldn't be opposed to him there if we trade down. I'm super concerned about the injuries (knee especially) and the potential lack of high end speed/quickness, but, there is no doubt he is a ball hawk and could be great in a zone scheme.

Hairston probably wont be there at 26. Dude is a absolute stud with good size and range. He is a turnover machine, he does however get washed out in coverage at times as he tends to look in the backfield for turn over opportunities. Not sure if he's better suited for Zone or man?

Seems like the Rams played a bit more man2man towards the end of the season last year, not sure if that's evidence of them going that route in the future.
A lot of mocks I saw had him going late, late first round 28-32, that speed is appealing though

The issue could be that they may not want Willians to be here with him knowing he is gone after the season. Might be best for both to separate now.

I have Hampton going to Washington at 29.

What a weird draft. So few elites, and a shitload of players that could go at anytime in the top 40.
