I grew up in Endicott NY, small town, close to the Pennsylvania border. If you never heard of it, it's near Binghamton. If you never heard of that, I can't help you.:laugh1:

Yep, Roman was also my hero back then.
I remember the local sporting goods store didn't have any Rams jerseys, but they could special order one. My only choices were Merlin Olsen or Deacon Jones, the old 3/4 sleeves, only in white. So I saved my morning paper route money (felt like it took forever), and ordered the Olsen. Waiting for that ALSO felt like it took forever.

If you remember the jerseys from back then, after multiple washings the rubber/plastic numbers would start to peel and fade. I was NOT going to let that happen....so I kinda kept trying to just spot clean it. A WHITE jersey. Worked for a while, but it did nothing for the smell. Finally surrendered it to Mom.
It ended up like the rest of them, faded, peeling numbers, but it was so awesome!

(Can't believe I remembered all that shit).
Is Binghamton near Johnson City, which is where I was born and left for Cali when I was 2 1/2 years old?

In third grade I had the Rams letterman style winter coat, rams hat, and gloves.

It saved my ass from a beating on the way to wrestling practice once. Two older kids started pushing me around and their even bigger friend, Gary Bordner, came over to join in. One look at my apparel and he told them to back off. Gary was also a Rams fan.
I had that coat too.

Yes, right next door (former) neighbor! It's called the Triple Cities area of the state. Cool.

I am in Columbia, South Carolina. I grew up in St Louis the son of a St Louis football Cardinals season ticket holder. Neil Lomax was my guy and the 1975 Cardinals had eight games decided in the final minute. We won seven of those games and I was hooked. I am sure you all know the plight of my team moving to AZ. When they moved away we in St Louis were burning Bill Bidwell in effigy.. I had the heart break of not getting an expansion team then the jubilation of getting a new team when Georgia moved the team to STL then those bad years in the late 1990s, the ecstasy of the GSOT and the crush of losing my team again. I have never lost my love for the Rams even though they moved away from STL. I watched them on American Forces Network for 11 years living in Ramstein Germany and five years living in Misawa Japan. It takes a lot of work to watch games when living on the other side of the international date line but I love my Rams.
The last game I was able to attend in person was vs the Patriots at Wembley stadium, several years ago. I think they beat us by about 40 points.
I have tickets to the 30 Nov game in Charlotte and hope to see some of you there! If there is a Rams fan tailgate I will be there covered in St Louis Rams gear.

PS. No offense to old school LA Rams fans. I am from St Louis and we do not need to argue over that cluster fuck of relocation then restoration of our team. I love all y'all and love our Rams.

I remember the "cardiac kids" from the Neil Lomax era (if I am remembering correctly). They had a hell of a team. Dan Dierdorf? And that asshat dirty guard... can't think of his name and too lazy to look it up. Anyway... congrats on staying with the Rams brother! Maybe I will see you in Charlotte. Thinking Baltimore but you never know.

No disrespect intended. Half the responses to this thread aren't from members technically on the east coast, but from the eastern U.S. I'm not on the coast myself being in Vermont. Maybe call it the Eastern U.S. as a way to include all of us in the eastern time zone?
Right? @Den the Coach, Boston Ram, Philly Ram, Elmgrovegnome and Mr. Orange?
Oh, and @RhodyRam?

But that ain't East Coast
That was my fault Rhody , I should have worded it differently.
I consider Kentucky east coast, but that's not technically true
I should have worded it eastern U.S.
Again my apologies Brother

No apologies necessary. We all knew what you meant. If nothing else this board has always been inclusive from geography to gender.
