How about for next year:
R1 Draft -LT
AJax - LG
Avilla - OC
Dotson - RG
Hav - RT
Not bad at all. Dotson worries me but the dude has changed the feel of this line and goddamn he looks the part.

Why take a dominate guard and put him at center? Guard is by far the more important position. We'd be better with Ajax off the bench and Shelton playing OC.

(Also, Avila would have to remake his body in an offseason to make it at all advantageous for him to be a center).

I'm 100% going for stability.
I've said in other places.. Cut Noteboom and Allen, post June 1st for some money.. Draft a tackle high and a Center mid.
Keep Dotson and Shelton. Shelton needs to be reasonable though.

Why would we take a step back with continuity? This line keeps improving and Jackson at LT is FAR from struggling. I'm not saying they can't upgrade.. that's why I'm drafting a tackle high. But if Jackson KEEPS improving.. you have great options in the future.

No way you cut Boom with his versatility on the O'Line. You keep him. I just don't get this pushing Boom out. Where can't he play on the line. He's good but not great.

EVERY TIME THIS GUY HAS TO FILL A SPOT HE DOES WELL...GEEZE!!!

Totally, but I think it's his contract we can't keep.

I don't really disagree, but he does have the health history.
But, I do think they should draft a potential left-tackle high in this draft and that would be your swing tackle. The money saved on Boom would go toward late-offseason FAs.. some of he bargain vets that can be had at that time would be a big help.
It's about the future, not Noteboom, per se.

I think Jackson has solidified himself at LT to the point the Rams don't need to draft high at the position. He's the starter PERIOD!!!
Disagree. Need to keep feeding that OL. If AJax continues to improve AND he’s the Rams best option at LT then he starts at LT. But don’t let up on feeding the OL. And I believe it’s time to end the Noteboom experiment thus opening up a OT spot.

He has battled his ass off out there this year for us at LT. But it's just not a natural position for him. So we have one year left of his usage out there if we need him, which is valuable as it means we at least have an answer at the position even if it's not ideal.

But I expect the Rams will take an OT in this draft that has good feet then slot him behind Jackson and develop him, at a minimum that is, the project type. Ideally, though, they have one of those guys fall to them in round one. Of course that doesn't mean the Rams would take him but I can dream.

After injuries continuity and all the interior problems they've had really all over the line ...Dotson must be kept!!!!!! It's no coincidence the line has got better when he got in there he and Avila are awesome

When I read comments here about dumping Noteboom, I feel the frustration of hoping he could become a reliable starter after all of these years. Remember the "grooming" he supposedly received behind Big Whit? If memory serves, it seemed that Boom would be the starting LT before Whitworth displaced him. Injuries and so-so play at tackle and guard teased us with the possibilities. He received a large contract for reasons that never made sense to me. Now he's only serviceable as a back up, even when McVay tried so hard to make him the starting RG (Thank heaven for Dotson). I was like OND is by wanting to dump Big Rob every year, in regard for Noteboom.

Now, I am just ready to move on by drafting quality Oline in 2024.

There's not even that angst for me. It's about roster-building.
They pretty much control Jackson for one more year.. then he can hit FA. He's proven to be adequate this season, and improving.
I'm bringing in a high-round OT to see if he can improve on Jackson.. OR.. if they can swing one of them to RT. The idea is to get younger and rebuild the line, moving forward.

I think good to great Olinemen are as valuable as any player on the field, especially when you need one during the season. A constant flow of good prospects need to keep coming through the Rams organization in order to stop the constant dumpster diving through the pile of washed and injured guys out of necessity.

I don't see Boom as an "experiment" he's experienced in several positions. The guy stepped in for Hav against the Ravens, not to mention everytime the guy has to move to another spot, he gets it done.

I'll say this...if they let him go, they'll regret it!!!
