If they go 4-1, with tiebreakers for both the Cards and Hawks, will we still be calling for Goff or letting him come into his own like a good wine?

Will still be calling for him...unless Keenum is playing so well that there's no need for Goff.

Goff. Why spend time on a QB that isn't part of our future?

I'll be calling for Goff, I sure hope his grapes ferment quickly.

But if that happens then we just wasted six good draft picks and set this team back a decade, at least according to Aikmans timeline. Not sure that will sit well with me.

Awwwww......

The 2006 team started off 4-1 before finishing with an 8-8 record. Just another example of why we need to keep our heads. I'll be damn happy if we get to 3-1 but I just hope this team can focus on the opponent in front of them and not overlook any one. I'm praying we come out firing on all cylinders tomorrow. Maybe it's me, but I don't feel like drinking any Kool-Aid yet. A win tomorrow will sure help though.
And in '79 we went 4-2 before losing the next 3 in a row. We ended up in the Superbowl. No correlation there either except that this team resembles the 79 team far more than the '06 team.

Because using the example given, the team is winning. Isn't that what we root for every week?

We have to get Goff playing time before the playoffs. What, don't you think we need to be prepared for best case scenario as opposed to planning on finishing 7-9, like we MAY be doing now if we don't get Goff in there ASAP?

Because we're winning and Goff isn't ready?

How do you know Goff isn't ready? And don't say, "because he isn't playing". That's called rhetorical logic and it makes no sense. Reality is; everything we're talking about is speculation. So your speculation is no more valid than mine.

When Goff plays he is ready - by definition.

You do realize that all rookie QBs don't come in and play well, don't you? Even those that start from game one. For all we know, Goff could be a bust. If the team is 4-1 with Keenum, barring an injury, if would be foolish to change QBs.

No, we didn't. It simply means Goff waits longer to start.

You're gonna give yourself a stroke. Nothing we say is going to get Goff in there any sooner than he's actually going to get in there.

Keenum is the only reason why we are in this game. Gurley has only 17 yards on 8 attempts, ... our interior OL sucks in rush blocking. What would Goff be doing that guarantees us a win today ?

On 3&9 Case throws short to TA and we settle for a FG. Had Goff been in there he would have thrown it 10 yards in the air and we would have converted and gone on to score a TD. Right now, we are playing .500 ball.

Or ... he throws an interception.

Or he could have been strip-sacked.
Or he could have thrown a pick.
Or he could have thrown an incompletion.
Or he could have thrown the same exact ball.

Lotta things *could* have happened, but for certain we don't know what *would* have happened.

Or he could have fumbled the snap
Or he could have forgotten the play...
