Rodgers could miss rest of season with broken collarbone

https://www.thescore.com/news/1398646

The Green Bay Packers confirmed Aaron Rodgers suffered a broken collarboneSunday and admitted there's a chance he could miss the rest of the season.

Rodgers sustained the injury in the first quarter on a big hit from Minnesota Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr.

He was briefly taken to the medical tent before the cart was brought out for him.

If Rodgers is done for the year, the NFC suddenly looks radically different. The Packers had legitimate Super Bowl aspirations, and Brett Hundley has yet to prove himself capable of keeping the team afloat.

I really detest the Vikes' whiny b!#ch @$$ coach. All the BS he talked about Fish, and he's not so different after all.

That hit after a play where he had almost two steps is the kind of thing Fish would have gotten all sorts of grief for. Gonna enjoy watching the Vikes get eliminated this year in the playoffs and hopefully it's the Rams that do it.

Such s shame AR is my favourite player to watch outside the rams .. and I like Green Bay Green Bay just classy all round team

That was a questionable hit. Rodgers was out of the pocket and considered a runner so he doesn't get the QB protection. The ball was well out of his hands before the hit. I think it is legal but, he could have stopped or just pushed him down.

The NFCN looks like it's a step above garbage right now.

It was borderline but Rodgers was out of the pocket so the rules change a bit.

Part of the problem is that the rules change a bit LOL.

I think that's probably the end for the Pack...Hundley doesn"t inspire trust in me...

Good. This will increase our odds of getting a wild card if it comes down to it.

Ex-fucking-zactly! I never cared about that dipshit until he made such an issue about his frail little girl QB being injured by our bully of a team. Eat shit Zim. Your player just hit a true HOFer with an absolute avoidable shot and season ender. And yet - silence. I have always hated the viqueens. This just adds to that.

They're beyond banged up. Read something from twitter where they now have lost him, RT, RG, CB 1 2 and 4, SS and ILB or something to that affect. Just crazy they must've seen the Chargers and pulled a "hold my beer".

I didn't think that hit was dirty at all. The QB's are protected PLENTY, if you don't want to be hit like everyone else quit running around all over the place. If you're going to make a big percentage of your plays while scrambling, expect to get hit and quit whining like a bitch when it happens.

Got to agree, it looked like Barr made contact and tried to roll past Rodgers and not pile drive him into the turf. The way they fell at full speed obviously shows that he just barely didn't accomplish that but the hit could have been much worse by Barr if he wanted it to be. Just bad luck on the way Rodgers landed imo. Sure Barr could have pulled up but how often has a lb'er did that and Rodgers pulls it down and keeps running? Finish the play is never a bad move.

Hold on hold on but isn’t this what some people was killing Quinn for not doing??? Laying out a QB lol let’s be consistent guys

Hate to see him miss the season.. Rodgers is too good and too much fun to watch. Hope he has a quick recovery.

.

Haha, Mike Greenderpburgh just said he would be behind a rule to make qbs wear flags and flag football rules would apply to them and them only.

His reason, football is better with the best qbs playing.

What a fuckwit.

.

Now we get to see why I wanted to draft this guy....

Hundley can play
I agree. Really liked him coming into the league under Rodgers.

Hundley has proven nothing and I'm not saying he's any better than his slot or others drafted around him, but I do think with time to build confidence and get rid of the butterflies in the face of the intensity of playing in the NFL, he can do well and perhaps become a star in the league.

The rest of the team isn't ready to overcome the loss of Rodgers though.

I think Minnesota has a better roster to overcome TWO major losses than Green Bay to overcome one.

The hit was legal, though he did put a little extra sauce on it. Anthony Barr is a great player not considered to be dirty. Tough loss for Aaron and the Pack but Zimmer is still a DICK.
