I was going to sarcastically post a reply that ... "This makes me sad" ... suggesting that Kendrick did nothing to impress me last season.

Then I thought I remembered this play, and I got angry because my memory was that Kendrick ... who offers size but no speed ... made a complete bull-shit effort on this play (a touchdown).

So I looked-up the highlights from last year's Chiefs' game. Unfortunately, my memory was good this time.

It was a 40-yard Mahomes-to-Kelce pass play resulting in a TD. No pass rush, Kelce beats Ramsey over the middle, breaks to the right and heads to the end-zone. Kendrick is at the five (unblocked) with a chance to make a tackle and deliver a hit.

Kendrick passes on that opportunity, puts out his arms in a pathetic Ole-Arm-Thing and Kelce walks in.

Any love I had left for Kendrick ended on that play. Not often I'm furious with a player, but this play, this weak ass effort, made me furious.

Before Hekker there was John Misko also from Oregon State.

And who can forget, Connie Mack Berry?

Hoping Kendrick shuts us all up this year. :laugh4:
I think people were unnecessarily too hard on him. I mean, what did they expect? Its not like the dude was a first round pick. He was a rookie picked in the 6th round. Its like people expected him to be some shut down corner or something. Those guys need more time. Heck, even a first rounder usually struggles his rookie year.

Oh you guys must be wrong! Morris loves this guy and knows he's a starter!!

So far Kendrick hasn't backed his big mouth. IMO it's why Witherspoon was signed.

We need you at camp, Den!
I have to admit, it is not easy doing camp reports and I found that out when the New York Giants used to train up here in Albany, NY. I would watch with my wife and tell her, I don't know how the guys can report on what I am seeing because it is very limited and you have to focus on one particular group and then record what your are seeing & annotate them later on as @bubbaramfan has done so tremendously throughout the years.

When the Giants would scrimmage, that was easier plus you would hear some of the fans in attendance who really clueless about the game. Anyways that is why I tip my cap to the likes of @bubbaramfan & others who are able to do these reports because from experience I can attest, it is not easy.
