In the end I think we ended up blowing them up with m80s or torching them with gasoline.

The 70's was an awesome decade. I loved Classic Rock long before it became Classic Rock.

Yes, I did wear bell bottom Levi's.

I made clackers in my arts and krafts class.

I was feeling nostalgic and bought my wife a mood ring a few years ago. When she's happy it turns blue. When she's pissed it leaves a red mark on my forehead. :injury:

I spent almost 4 years living in Vegas in the late 70's. Disco was the big thing. And weird names for nightclubs. Names like Diana's Bananas and The Mobey Grape. I was never into the polyester suit but I came close. Used to have Levi jackets in different colors with matching corduroy pants. And platform shoes. Some of those shoes turned me from 6'1" to 6'5".

Lava Lamps

Leisure Suits (blame my parents)

Hip hugging Bell-bottoms

Satin Shirts with the long pointed collars

Cassette tapes

Ocean Pacific corduroy shorts
Reel to reel tape decks
canvas book bags
Vans tennis shoes
Conversion vans with airbrushed art (half had either a unicorn, pegasus or wizard on the side)
Nights playing D&D or putting together character sheets
Roller rinks
Pong
Earl Scheib commercials "I'll paint any car, any color for $39.95"
The Gap when it was western themed
The Montgomery Ward and Sears Christmas catalogs
Kitchen phones with MILES of that curly cord that eventually became as knotted as the ball of lights in Christmas Vacation
Fondue
Danish Butter Cookies back when you could only buy them at the Duty Free and they were $30/tin (one of the worst beatings I got as a kid was when I grabbed an entire cup of cookies...they held 3 even back then)
Leaded gasoline
Avocado appliances
All the great TV and music of the 70s

and the best part of the 70s...

MACRAME BIKINIS

Also... to @Loyal for that "Cal Worthington and his dog, Spot"... here's a "you sonofa..." for the absolute nostalgia whiplash

I had that in purple...with a sparkly purple seat... until I was in the 7th grade... I had to ride 5 miles to Jr HS on a bike that looked like a circus bike it was so small... I was nearly 6 feet tall by then and back then, my stepdad was CHEAP!!!
