You kind of proved my point with that comment lol because you are clearly lower on our CBs than the coaching staff is.
I won't use the term JAG, I'll say average starter - we have three at CB with Spoon, Williams and Durant. Williams has played at a higher level than that and had the hammy last year which set him back. Entirely possible he plays above average next year. Durant is still an ascending player and could break out. Spoon stabilized our backend when he was inserted last year.
Then we have Kendrick and Forbes as young guys who have played, but are below average players right now, and then the UDFAs that made the team last year - but all those guys have game experience which gives them a HUGE leg up over any rookie outside the first few rounds.
Every year we all fall in love with rookies - the truth is, most of the guys drafted won't even become average starters. I said all along that I would have taken one in the first round for the outside chance (and it IS an outside chance, even in round one) it's an upgrade if the right player was there.
