Top ten picks at RB and QB, but can't throw, can't run against maybe the worst team in the NFL.

Miserable end to a miserable season.

Not quite the end..The Arians Azzhats stop by for the final azz kicking next week..Can't see that game being competitive for more than a quarter, maybe next...I don't know where this team goes next, there is just so much to redo...

Is he slow in his decisions, or are the WRs just not open? Or a little of both?

Yah I'm thinking both too. It's hard to tell without seeing that side of the field. I though Goff tried to move around more to throw but the pass rush was all around him. The poor play calling and lack of running game has to make things harder for Goff. No Benny C too.

Absolutely not what I was saying. I'm saying we are on the path to that same scenario. It's going to be hard to fix the supporting cast without a first round pick.

It's time the Rams find players in other rounds. All is not lost because they don't have a 1st rounder. A couple good Free Agents and a solid draft can do wonders for the offense.

We should have 8 picks this draft that's more than enough picks to add a supporting cast. I get what you're saying and don't totally disagree with you. But I'm saying we could have added the weapons last year and we'd be no better off. They'd need a QB and all the QB's in this upcoming draft aren't as good as Goff. It may turn out that even taking the QB first over the weapons won't work. But taking the weapons before the QB isn't certain to work either especially with the upcoming QB class.
But we need like 45 good picks, so with 8, if we get those right, we're going to come up a little short my fellow fan.

Or better yet put him where he belongs at OLB.

It's also curious that former Rams running backs like Tre Mason, Zac Stacy, and Daryl Richardson all looked promising for a time and then flamed out badly as well.

The Rams running back coach in those days was Ben Sirmans. This season it's Skip Peete, the brother of former QB, Rodney Peete.

Maybe it's just the O-line.
It's not just RBs that backslide after nice rookie seasons. Givens and Havenstien have too.

they were winning in spite of goff. Not because he did enough to win. 46 percent completion percentage just doesnt cut it. Hopefully a new coach can teach him up though

We can't really hold the completion percentage against him because these WR's dropping balls left and right. Just the play before the game ending int, was a drop.

Yeah. Really the only reason I wanted Wentz is because of his athleticism, intelligence, and the knowledge ahead of time that he'd have to run a lot in this offense. I felt he would be ideally suited for that type of run-centric philosophy we have, and he'd be pretty good at play-action. I have ZERO idea what the plan was for Goff. It's almost like they scouted him and said, "Yeah, that's the best pure thrower in the draft. Let's snag him and then draft a few rookie receivers to help him out." Baffling. Hopefully the next guy sorts it all out and someone upstairs gets him a legit target.

Agreed. I didn't think either one of them was worthy of the trade up or the draft selection. But, Wentz was my guy as he simply made too much sense in a traditional Jeff Fisher run first offense. Various formations, taking snaps from center, handing the ball off to Gurley (preferably with a FB in front of him), a little zone read, and play-action passes. IMO, the Goff selection and all these shotgun snaps on offense made about as little sense fit-wise as the Tavon Austin trade up.(n)

I hope those guy's thinking that keeping Williams would be a good idea now know what a mistake that would be

random thoughts from captain morgan.( gulp) I was worried about resigning tru but he quit today now I don't know if we should or not. if not means 2 or 3 draft picks or free agents at corner.(gulp) before the season I thought our o l with health and a years exp would be a strength now it looks like 2 or 3 draft picks and 1or 2 free agents. (gulp) after today you have to worry about the d l if rq does not get back to former self might need 1 draft pick and 1 free agent there.(gulp )with new dc probably need 1 or 2 lb.(gulp) also need at least 1 free agent or draft pick at wr. (gulp) captain morgan dose not think we have enough draft and cap space to fill all these needs.(gulp) maybe with a new coach and staff we don't have as many holes as captain morgan thinks.(gulp)but on the other hand after fisher's country club training camps maybe we have a player revolt when we get a new coach and staff. (gulp) I think I have had to many gulps better go now happy new year all ram fans.

Goff, Wentz, Prescott, Kessler, it doesn't matter who we had at QB this year. It would have been a disaster. I would have felt bad for any of them. Those guys lucked out ending up elsewhere.

I disagree on Wentz. I think the Rams would have run a bit different offense more along the lines of 2015 with him instead of all the shotgun stuff that helped stifle Gurley. The others? Might have depended upon what was done with all of the draft choices they traded away.

So let me get this straight....

In the last 16 regular season games... The Forty Whiners have won 3 games. All 3 games were against the Rams.... OK..just making sure.......

it was also a low throw too

I was on that train for a while, but wavering the last several weeks. Officially off that train now after his absolute, pathetic choke performance today. FU GW.

Because it was a shity throw that he had to go to the ground to try and scoop
