It’s weird, the Packers defense is not good against the run, the niners had success running but were only able to manage 3 points. The Rams are ok against the run and the niners have drive after drive where they run it 7-8-9 times and chew up huge chunks of clock, and most importantly, score tds. What are the Packers doing that the rams can’t?
Tackle. If the first defender actually made the tackle, SF would've stalled out.

This is shaping out to be similar to the Pats and Manning era Colts rivalry.

This is coach speak as hell but tackling is going to be so freaking important. If you go back and rewatch the second half of the week 18 game, it’s pretty clear that we’d have won comfortably if we simply tackled better. Like 4 of their first 5 runs of the second half, we met the runner right at the LOS or behind it, and instead of a negative play they broke tackles and squirted forward for 5 yards.

If we tackle we get them in 3rd and long and the ball will be in Jimmys hands more frequently.

I'm liking McVay's attitude toward this game based on his press conferences. He's tired of hearing "6 losses in a row".

Next is Stafford. I need to see his first couple of drives. In some big games Stafford has been hyped up and throws high/low. We need him to be under control...FROM JUMP STREET.

I see a win because Stafford has killed the "never won a playoff" jazz...and he realizes it's "do or die".

I THINK HE PLAYS GREAT!!!

The niners are so confident they’ll run it on 3rd and medium so we don’t have to necessarily worry about Garapalo. He played pretty good against the rams but almost gave the game away against the Packers. The rams and the packers had the lead but lost it making mistakes. So, get a lead and don’t get to conservative and don’t give them extra possessions.
The niner skill players are all yac guys not so much separation, so it’s all about tackling.

I see Raheem Morris gave them bulletin board material by saying it's "time for payback"..

.. not sure I'd give SF any bulletin board material.

I'm fine with that. Bulletin board shit goes out the window the first play of the game. These two teams are gonna be at each other's throats in this one regardless.

Remembering where the pass rush pressure came from in the week 18 9er game I remember Edwards couldn't handle the bull rush Armstead came with up the middle where he got 2.5 sacks.

Edwards MUST DO BETTER SUNDAY as well as the rest of the OLine.

Again, McVay can help by calling short to medium quick developing routes while Stafford has to quickly go through his progressions.

I know it has probably been posted before, but the Rams got to bring the pash rush this time. It seemed like it was nonexistent in week 17. We need Jimmy to feel that pressure the entire game. If he does, he is going to throw that INT, and it might come at a time where we can put them away.

There was a mention by someone last week, maybe during the broadcast, I can't remember because of liquor and weed (don't worry, it's medicinal lol) (also, don't judge, you saw that 2nd half)
Anyhoo... the point was, is, that someone said Staffords interceptions happen when he's comfortable.

I've been thinking about that and I think it's spot on.
He comes to a new team, new teammates, new scheme. In his first several games, he's not yet comfortable- and he was on an MVP pace.
Mid-season, he's in control, he trusts his recievers, his protection etc. He's comfortable. Picks and pick 6s.

Games with playoff implications, especially IN the playoffs: Total Stud.

This is the NFC Championship Game
and we're playing the fucking 9ers.

Staffords going to be great.

So when exactly did we stop calling this Niner Week?
Its Niner Week Bitches, now go out and punch the first niner fan you see in the face
