Packers have all pro ILB De'Vondre Campbell. We don’t.
 
I have an idea... let's switch from a 3-4 to a 4-3 for this game. Insert Bobby Brown or Sebastian Joseph Day in the middle with Ashawn as d-tackles and line up Aaron Donald as a defensive end along with Von Miller. Or keep Floyd as DE and put Von Miller or Donald at LB. Keep Reeder in there along with Ernest Jones and get physical! Howard can cover Kittles with help, and match-up Deebo with Ramsey.

I know it's thinking out of the box, but I am tired of not being able to stop the run, and I do not know what the answer is. And I asked this last time but did not get an response... does anyone know if they are running at Donald or running away from him? Thx.

Play better on third down. The niners would rather let Deebo do the work than Garapalo and grind the defense down. They have no problem running it on 3rd and medium. A couple stops 2 weeks ago and they have to let Jimmy try and win it which is not what they want. Getting the ball to Akers in space is an easy way to move the chains without exposing Stafford, once we get the lead hit ‘em with Cam and Sony til they tap out.

If Stafford can keep playing at this level I don't think it will be close. He's the ultimate wild card. When he is playing like he is now, the Rams are all but unbeatable, which we saw early in the season, as well. It takes the Rams shooting themselves in the foot to lose with Stafford slinging it so dynamically yet smartly with zero turnovers. And even then, the Rams shooting themselves in the foot might not be enough to lose, as we saw in Tampa Bay this weekend winning despite 4 fumbles. Let's hope Matt has two more games left in him before cooling off.

I think one key could be Cam Akers' ability in the passing game. If the Rams can frustrate the 49ers pass rushers with well-timed screens/RB outlets (and Cam can use his open field abilities to turn those plays into significant gains), that will really help open things up for Stafford.

On offense stretch them horizontal and force their corners to make tackles. A few jet sweeps will work. Run the ball, run a few play action. I actually like Sony more in this game.

I’m sure not taking Nick Scott off the field. Rapp can have some snaps - where he does well - but the safety play has been a surprising plus.

I have wondered why it seems to be difficult to tackle these guys? I’m not buying they are better or tougher than other RBs.

Do they have some secret fiber woven into their uniforms that is hard to grip?

Agreed. It's an interesting spot to be in. The secondary has looked much better since Weddle came in while being down a few starters. But the sample size is small, and also roughly coincides with our defensive line starting to completely dominate teams. Is Weddle the difference? Is it just coincidental timing with a small sample size? Is the secondary just being made to look good by a ferocious pass rush? It's hard to say.

I do think Weddle needs to stay active at someone's expense, even if his snaps go down when bodies come back. He has not looked out of place, and if things fall apart if and when he leaves the picture, you want to be able to re-insert him promptly.

Play within yourselves. Focus on every play. Do what you do best and don't change unless they make you. Don't panic when things start to go bad.
That is all SF does. It is all we have to do. We have more talent. We are the better team.

With Weddle I gotta think it's the intangibles. And he's not on the field for every snap.

If the Rams get a big lead don't change the game plan stick with it. And do not ease up in the 2nd half.
