Agreed. It's an interesting spot to be in. The secondary has looked much better since Weddle came in while being down a few starters. But the sample size is small, and also roughly coincides with our defensive line starting to completely dominate teams. Is Weddle the difference? Is it just coincidental timing with a small sample size? Is the secondary just being made to look good by a ferocious pass rush? It's hard to say.
I do think Weddle needs to stay active at someone's expense, even if his snaps go down when bodies come back. He has not looked out of place, and if things fall apart if and when he leaves the picture, you want to be able to re-insert him promptly.
