I would. Had this happened after the draft it's one thing but this late in the game is setting a precedent that isnt good.
My question for Stewart is why is he so concerned about being a good citizen that he feels his guaranteed money is at risk? Everyone jumping on the Bengals but if you look at what the Bengals are looking for, its really no big deal and a very odd hill for Stewart to die on
I wouldn't accept that provision. It gives the team way too much power to void the guarantees. Stewart is doing nothing wrong imo.
"Bengals want to do would be similar to the Los Angeles Rams insisting on offsets for the guarantees with their 2026 first-round pick to conform with the rest of the NFL when their previous first-round picks haven't had offsets. Practically every team, besides the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Rams, has offsets for the guarantees with draft picks. The proposed change surely would be a sticking point for the agent of that Rams first-round pick. The agent wouldn't want to be responsible for a new team contract precedent that would apply to other Rams first-round picks in the future."

I mean, Rams fans should be the last ones criticizing the Bengals for wanting this off set language in the contract

Why? That paragraph isn't the most clearly written, but it appears to be saying that the Rams don't include offsets of these types, so an agent would not want to establish that precedent.

He's still under contract with the Titans in '26, no?

Next year is his final year but I'm sure the Titans will be looking to trade him for a late round pick to somebody who wants to take a flier.
probably the browns.
Jaguars most likely as Levis flourished at Kentucky under Liam Coen.

Definitely offer them a low pick for him. Unless McVay didn't like what he heard from Liam Coen about him.

If Stafford wins a title and rides into the sunset that would give them a bridge option in '26 to compete with whomever while the QB draft pick takes a redshirt.

... I do get a kick out of it when players '"Retire" years after they last played.
In Suh's case, he played 8 games, in a back-up role, in 2022.

For me the test is simple ... when I read the report of a player announcing his retirement, do I say to myself ...
"Wasn't he already retired?"
Phillip Rivers officially retired today.

Rivers last took a snap in 2020.

I swear ... If I see a report that Orlando Pace officially retired today, I'm going to Lose It Man!!!
