Sure in game 1. By all accounts you should have swept with your ace pitching game 3. So beating our 1 with your 10 is no where near beating your 1 with our 5 to prevent the sweep.

Think of it this way. Every LA fan thought the sweep was a done deal. Much like they think a WS repeat is a done deal. And they're not alone. Most pundits figured the Dodgers to win 125 games with the 2025 postseason. But baseball is fickle. Sometimes things don't happen the way they're 'supposed' to.
And I was mostly kidding on my comment

Watching TBS pregame, they were loving on Judge. Sure, who isn't. He's on pace for 58 homers and he's hitting .396. Now I don't expect him to hit that high when it's all said and done but .360 or .370 is possible. The last player to hit at least 55 homers and bat .360 or higher was Babe Ruth in 1921 (59 homers, .374). Now that's some serious throwback stuff there.

not sure where to put this but Devers to SF in a trade

Boston wins the trade hands down. Hicks may be overpaid and isn't a starter by any means, but he's an effective reliever who is one of the hardest throwers in baseball. Kyle Harrison should help their rotation in the short term and long term, and Tibbs III is a ridiculously good prospect to add to an already stacked farm system.

And the kicker? They're only paying this year of his contract. The Giants are going to be paying the remaining eight years, and they're going to really regret it. I never saw the Devers contract as aging well, and now the Red Sox have a way out, and can still trade for a high-end player who's making money to lessen the hit they're taking offensively with the loss of Devers' bat.

I think we can put the idea of 125 wins to bed now. Not even sure about 100 wins. With all the injuries to the starting pitching they just need to focus on getting healthy down the stretch. Its amazing they're still clinging to first place. Right now the goal is to just make the playoffs. From there anything can happen.

Uh oh - Yankees in trouble

Better hope this is just a short slump for Judge but 12 strikeouts in his last 5 games is not good

It is. But isn't that baseball? 6 games; 2 for 24. The last 4 games he's 5 for 13. What's that: .384? With the 5 BB, he's got an OB% of over .500.

Yeah I was just messing with your team

Trade coming? Peirera and de la cruz removed from lineup tonight.

No hit for 7 innings by Woo, down 5-0 but they win it 6-5 in 10. Big G with a pinch hit homer in the 8th, Wells a 2 out 2 rbi single in the 9th and a sac fly by Judge in the 10th made possible by a hellified slide by Volpe. Maybe we're back on track?

This was the first time a team won after being no-hit through 7 innings and trailing by 5 runs or more since the Pirates did it in 1977. And those are the only two times since 1961. Woo lost the no hitter in the 8th and then once he lost the shutout (and was over 100 pitches, his previous season high), they took him out. After a strike out by Volpe, Stanton hit a pinch hit bomb off of Brash to make it 5-3 and the game suddenly seemed winnable. All star closer Munoz faced 7 batters in the ninth, gave up the tying runs and the comeback was on the way.

Munoz tipping his pitches helped.

I think the Yankees look much different lately. That 18 game stretch took its toll. They had to play a lot of hot teams in that time. But they seem to be back on track after the series against Seattle and now the Cubs. Getting '70% Jazz' back helped. They just need to get the previously injured relievers to start pitching like they used too. I wish they had kept Kahnle.

Cashman is talking tough coming up on the trade deadline. There will be a lot of competition for third baseman. Years ago they were a dime a dozen. Now a lot of teams need a good one.

Bollinger robbed of a four homer game! Alk take the three, but four would have been so sweet.

I'd gladly take Ryan McMahon off the Rockies hands if Hal is truly not worried about writing checks
DJ was a warrior, and I was rooting for him but he was dead weight and releasing him was truly addition by subtraction

I’m not excited about McMahon. He’s 31. He’s batting .214. He’s a career .240.

Current 3B options:
Peraza batting .161
Vivas batting .149
Jazz needs to stay at 2B where he's belonged
Not a lot of options out there

McMahon does not hit outside of Coors field. Suarez, or even IKF would be a better option.
McMahon wont cost much, Suarez will. I'm not interested in hearing Spencer jones or Lombard jr in trade talks. IKF? Ugh, I'd just as soon stick with Jorbit. IKF has no pop and hasnt really played 3rd in a couple years. McMahon is no superstar but he's also a lot better than what his numbers are like this year. Hard to produce on such a dreadful team. I could see his game having a spark, like Jazz last year, going to a lineup where he's surrounded by talent
I wouldnt be disappointed with Suarez in the slightest, just hope he doesnt cost too much, and I'm not even sure Arizona thinks they're out of it yet. Only 6 games out of the wild card is not insurmountable
