The Yankees have slugged nine home runs against the Brewers, four of them coming off Nestor Cortes in the first inning of Saturday's game.

Nestor felt bad giving up that grand slam to Freeman last year so he decided to just give up home run after home run in coming back to Yankee Stadium.

I was wondering if the last 4 pitches he threw (in games that matter) were all hit for HRs. because the Yankees hit his first 3 pitches out today

He's heating up again. 2 homers yesterday (14th) and 4 for 5 today (.409). Dude is unreal.

Goldschmidt was a great signing and the Martian is hitting the ball well. Now if he can get better defensively, they'll have another young star (along with Rice).

He could hit .400 in the regular season, all well and good, wont matter if he hits .184 again in the post-season....

Absolutely. So he's gotta correct that. I'm betting a guy who can hit .414 for a quarter of the season can solve that problem. But we'll see.
 
Heard somebody criticizing Boone. "He sucks". The Yankees have the 2nd best win percentage in the A.L. while losing their ACE for the year before the season started, the reigning AL ROY, the reigning ALCS MVP, lost their starting 2B for a month and starting 3B 2 weeks ago. Not to mention Soto went to the Mets! Yeah.....Fire the guy!!!

What he is doing with the leadoff spot is just incredible, but of course he doesnt get credit for it.
I just hope they give Matt Blake a lifetime contract because what he does with pitchers is absolutely incredible.
