I have friends and family in Seattle still. Some actually work for UW in their athletic department. My sister's husband works for one of the bigger agencies. Feelers from the Rams have been made to various agents of high profile coaches. Just the kind you make to gauge availability.

Serious Question:
Outside of your circle of 'friends and family', has there been a report ... anywhere ... about these 'Feelers' the Rams have made to 'various agents of high profile coaches'.

I'm not aware of any reports, from any sports media source (national or local), but perhaps I missed them.

Feelers from the Rams have been made to various agents of high profile coaches. Just the kind you make to gauge availability. They did it right after the Super Bowl when McVay talked about not returning, most felt it was money related back then so most knew Kroenke wouldn't let him go so the general feeling was that these inquiries were nothing. But this time it's not so innocuous. There is a whole new "vibe" about these seemingly innocent inquiries.

I was simply answering a question. You don't believe me no problem. That is everyone's perogative. So if DeBoer accepts an NFL offer next year will you apologize? Naahhh I know you won't.

Why would I need to apologize if he accepts “an NFL offer”? Your comment was about McVay and the Rams.

McVay, the head coach, is a great leader of men which is a rare trait. You see supposed "gurus" flame out as head coaches because they only know the X's and O's of the game but not how to lead their players. Guys like Josh McDaniels, Bill O'Brien, Kliff Kingsbury, Matt Rhule were all promising head coaches who did absolutely nothing. What we have in McVay can't be discounted, even if we don't agree with his offensive approach.

Where I can say an argument can be made is that we need a new OC. A legitimate OC, not one simply in title. I think McVay needs to take a step back from the OC position and allow a proven mind come in and run the offense. We need to get back to being a run first, play action team with a variety of personnel groupings. I absolutely hate how Shannahan runs his offense because it's seemingly so simple but highly effective, can we have some of that?

Washington coach Kalen DeBoer will indeed leave college and go to the NFL next year but it will be to Chicago; and, as part of the contract, he will legally change his name to Kalen DaBear.

I have no inside knowledge or information. This is merely a baseless / uninformed opinion, stated as fact.

Deal with it!

Yep. Leadership is overlooked as a skill by the masses which is ironic given how it's so damn crucial when you're running a large roster of men. If you take two coaches and one of them is a genius but gets his entire roster playing at idk say 80% efficiency in terms of taking snaps off, and the other is pedestrian schematically but gets his roster playing in the 90% range that genius won't look like a genius.

This is why they say culture kicks everything else's ass when it comes to organization building. It is true, but it requires great leaders to establish it when it is not there. And even if it is there and established you need a good leader to ensure it doesn't unravel because decay is the nature of anything that is built.

If McVay leaves for a broadcaster job, I want Ben Johnson from the Lions. I'm not sure who would be our GM, but I do like Johnson as a person and especially as a coach; he's smart, proven, and knows how to talk to players to get the most from them. I will be disappointed if Coach Henderson isn't the DC after this year.

I think the shift to building the pieces for a PA passing, run first is well on the way.

I don't know about Donald. Maybe even Kupp too. But I wouldn't be surprised to see Stafford play through 2026.

Life w/o the big 3, eh??
We played w/o the "big" 18 today.... how'd that turn out??

I assume the answer to the above question is ... NO.

No media report of any type, at any time, to support the above baseless and uninformed opinion.

It was just another opinion stated as if it was factual.
