A hypothetical question here:

If we stay at 26 and decide to go with a CB, and all these players are still on the board, who do you take and why?

We'll assume that Travis Hunter and Will Johnson are long gone, obviously.

Other, any of the above would ve good CB for us to draft. I've seen Thoas from a 1st to a 3rd round pick but we know things this time of year fluctuate. So if the Rams want him. In the 1st so be it. I still think it's a TE or WR at 26 though.

I don’t see the value at no 26 when it comes to the next group of CBs depending on whether you believe Barron can and will play the star position in our D

He’s the only CB, outside of the top two, who is in the 1st round conversation though Thomas may be another after the combine because he is so athletic - but would that be too high based on his film?

Based on current scheme and need, Benjamin Morrison and Jahdae Barron make the most sense if we go CB. But I don't know if they're planning to keep the scheme the same or not.

Easily Revel, but he won’t be there. I’m not even sure Barron or Thomas will be at our spot, and they’d be my second and third options.

If I had to pick a corner with my first pick with those options, I’d probably do Zy Alexander after a trade out of the first round. Love his skill set, love his compete when the ball’s in the air and when the play’s going to him.

But you’re asking hypotheticals, and if for some ungodly reason Revel’s still on the board, McSnead should fucking sprint to the podium. No questions, no trade offers, just take who might be the best corner - a unicorn - in this draft.

The reason would be clear, knee injury. He was impressive in his 3 games this year however.

Yeah, I'm leaning Barron with Morrison next. I think Barron is the most talented and Morrison has perhaps the most potential.

Revel Jr. if his knee checks out. Otherwise I lean towards the 20 year old Azareye'h Thomas.

Morrison? Brugler has him coming off his 2nd hip procedure.
Barron? Pauline says he has sub 30" arms. Team would still need length with him.

Barron is a great run defender and plenty physical. I'm not worried about his arm length. We're not a press heavy team. I watched some of the Senior Bowl one on ones. Thomas was getting cooked at times by the quicker WRs. Unless we're overhauling the scheme, I'd be very worried about fit.

I really liked Morrison before the season.
I still do, but others, like Barron and Revel Jr etc are growing on me.
It is an interesting spot the Rams are drafting in....if there isn't anyone you love a trade down could be very possible.
Also, an interesting team in place (with some assumptions about FA) to draft for.
Looking forward to it.

I’d be shocked if Rams go Defense with their first pick (even if they trade down from R1.26 which I’d like to see).

I really like Barron. He's a lot like KC's Trent McDuffie to me.

Bigger CBs in Thomas and even Jalen Ramsey would have struggles with smaller, quick, speed WRs (Cobie Durant can help there).
Just as CBs with the length of Barron / McDuffie can have issues locking down taller, bigger targets.

IMO, this team needs someone with the potential to lock down a target so that they can shift coverage to a potential weaker side and my guess is the new pass rusher coordinator from the Martindale tree is going to need that guy to turn some of the high pressure numbers into sacks.

@ 26? Morrison hands down... 26 needs to be an outside look down corner.

With some of the others I'd like a trade down before taking them.

A few others I really like that aren't listed but wouldn't take them at 26.

Hairston, Thomas, Burke, Alexzander, Hancock, Riley, and my steal of the draft Marshall Jr.

I think most of your list is 2nd rounders or later.

Hence why I said I wouldn't take them at 26, I'd prefer a trade down because there isn't much difference between those listed in poll to the ones I listed.

Really want a trade down to add value this draft and make up for that 2nd we are missing.

Misread you. Would like Marshall Jr a lot in the 6th.

btw anyone seen this balloon floating over Baltimore?? this is prolly a bunch of crap, BR just speculating, but... anyone hear anything about this??
Too rich for my taste. The Washington Football Team were more desperate than we are. If they replace the 5th round pick with Mark Andrews, then we have a deal.
