That last inning sure made me nervous. Just something about trying to get those final 3 outs. Treinen's got some hella break on that sweeper. But sometimes too much. Had trouble with the accuracy. One or two timely hits by the Yankees and this coulda been a different series.

Before we get too confident, remember the last two times these teams met in the World Series? The losing team won the first two games. It ain't over till its over.

I coulda done without hearing that…

Agreed and I am not too confident with Walker Buehler taking the hill in game 3, methinks he'll be throwing batting practice, but you never know.

Yeah, for the most part he hasn't returned to form after the surgery. But it we're looking for a sliver of hope, his last outing had glimpses of the pre-injury Buehler. He was good against the Mets. Against the Padres he wasn't but I believe all 6 runs were in one inning. IIRC it was the 2nd inning. Which means the last 3 innings he pitched shut out ball. Along with the Mets game in his last 7 innings he gives up one run. So maybe he's trending in the right direction. This is not a bullpen game but I have a feeling Roberts won't let him go more than 4 innings.

Dude, we have more in this century than you do, and yours was in a shortened season that barely counts because it wasn't a full season (the Marlins - the fucking Marlins - made the playoffs, and you didn't have to play anyone tough). Your last WS ring in a full season that wasn't shortened was - gasp - not in this century! Talk about hypocrisy.

We're not history. We're simply rebuilding, like you were so long ago, for fate knows how many years.

Meanwhile, you have no pitching. You spent tens of millions of dollars on a number three pitcher at best who is currently your number two (Yamamoto). You dealt a bunch of prospects for your number three pitcher who is being starred as a number one (Flaherty). Your final starting pitcher is coming off of enough injuries to make Joseph Noteboom look like Cal fucking Ripken Jr. (Buehler). Then you have a bullpen full of the walking wounded (including Graterol, who is coming off of injury).

Glasnow's hurt. May's hurt. Ryan's hurt. Miller's hurt. Every one of your other numerous starting pitchers are hurt, and you do not have the horses to go up against Cole and Rodon or Schmidt, all of whom are better than your best at the moment. And you really think you're going to win the WS this year?

Yankees in five, and I'm feeling generous.
3-0

Where all the Yankee fans at now???? They were talking a LOT before the series....where yall at?????

This has been amazing, living in New York surrounded by not only Yankee fans, but some Met fans too. One more game and it will be a season for the ages. @snackdaddy was 100% correct, Walker Anthony Buehler was up to the task and then some.

If Buehler returns to form next year, along with Ohtani and others who've been on the disabled list, the Dodgers rotation should be stacked the next few years. Stone was becoming their best pitcher before he went down. Dustin May showed a lot of promise.

They have Yamamoto and Glasnow locked up for a few years. Even if a few go down for a while they've shown they can overcome it. I expect them to be contenders for a number of years.

Get to Yankee stadium tonight, if you can. Will be EPIC and ticket prices coming WAYYYYY down.
Would be nice to win it at Dodger stadium. But if it makes it that far it becomes very nervous. Like the last two 9th innings. I'd just as soon get it done in New York. Making it to LA would give the Yankees some momentum. Can't exhale yet. No one in the world series has overcome a 0-3 deficit. But records are meant to be broken. Take care of business while you can.

My thoughts exactly.

Part of me wants to win in game 6, in Chavez.
