Apparently they rank Dotson as #2, but that has been for 1 year. Really wish we could sign Dotson to something similar to this rather then 16m/year.

Agreed. It's short on 'big star potential', not overall talent. Lots that could play a good role on our defense. I definitely assume we will be signing one veteran and drafting someone as well.
Praying maybe we could snag Smith with our 5th or 6ths before the senior bowl but that seems highly unlikely now! lol

So my take is he looked at the total contract $$$ as his primary criteria for choosing the Bills. His Dad and agent should have read the fine print.
