I guess Jones likes the idea of being a backup after being paid a shitload of money. Darnold is either staying with the Vikings until they're ready to roll with McCarthy (one year deal?) or he signs a big contract with another team this offseason and McCarthy takes over. Either way, Jones is the backup.

Not a terrible idea for Vikings. If he goes elsewhere in offseason will get decent money just being a QB so helps their comp pick formula.

Might be the worst run team in the league battling Dallas and Carolina. These idiots made him do a press conference this morning before they fired him. They've now done exactly what they did to Fields and Trubisky. I wish for Caleb he didn't have to play for and ruin his career in Chicago.

Eberflus earned that firing though. Still agree that Chicago is a shit run organization.
You read my post before that one you quoted? Never said he didn't my point is emphasizing how horribly run the Chicago Bears are. They've established a trend of ruining young QB's along the way to be a perennial loser.

Man, when I watched that final play I was saying out loud "What the hell are they doing?" There was plenty of time to line up, snap the ball, throw over the middle for ten yards and call the timeout. Detroit woulda given them that. But they just meandered to the line. Took their sweet time and then it was too late to think about throwing over the middle. And a few plays before that they had to use a timeout to avoid a delay of game penalty. A lot of that is on the players. But its something they should always be practicing to the point where they have it down. That is on the coaching.

Looks like the Lions signed Jonah Williams off the Rams' Practice Squad ... per NFLN's Tom Pelissero.
